About the job

Do you want the responsibility for complex sewerage and water supply projects? Can you create momentum, bring together different disciplines and build strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders? And are you motivated by leading projects that create real value for society? Then join COWI and help create the solutions that enable a better future.

Work on projects that create value for coming generations

To support the continued growth of our Climate, Utilities & Infrastructure business area, we are seeking a senior sewerage engineer or project manager for our team in Kgs. Lyngby. At COWI we work on some of Denmark's most important separate sewerage projects as well as drainage and climate adaptation projects, and we are expanding our project portfolio.

As a project manager you will have overall responsibility for leading sewerage and utility projects from the initial ideas to the finished facility. You set direction and progress, ensure close collaboration with the client and coordinate cross-disciplinary project teams. At the same time you bring your technical understanding into play so the projects are delivered with high quality and create robust and sustainable solutions for local communities across Denmark.

Your primary responsibilities

  • Manage sewerage and utility projects from tendering and planning to design, construction and commissioning, ensuring progress and quality on the projects
  • Support the professional development of the team and contribute with technical sparring within separate sewerage, drainage and climate adaptation
  • Development of drainage models and technical solutions for handling rainwater and separation of sewage and stormwater
  • Close contact with customers, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Contribute to tender work, technical documentation and project planning
  • Keep up to date with current practice, legislation and innovation within separate sewerage and climate adaptation

Your competencies. Our team. Together we design the future

To succeed in the role it is important that you thrive in collaboration and build strong relationships with colleagues, partners and customers. You build trust through respectful behavior and by delivering on your promises. At the same time you are curious and continuously seek new insights and opportunities for improvement.

In addition, we imagine that you have

  • A degree as a civil engineer or equivalent in the road, environmental, water or infrastructure field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with separated sewerage, wastewater and rainwater projects
  • Experience with construction management and supervision
  • An engaged approach and strong interest in sustainable water solutions
  • Proficient in Danish at a professional level in both spoken and written form and able to communicate clearly and precisely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A workplace and much more

At COWI we work with our clients to create a sustainable and attractive world. We use our knowledge, curiosity and courage to develop the solutions the world needs today to create a better future. We help our clients move toward greater sustainability and lead by integrating environmental considerations, social responsibility and good corporate governance in our work and the solutions we offer.

With offices primarily in the Nordics, the United Kingdom, North America and India, we are more than 7,500 employees who every day bring our professional knowledge in engineering, architecture, energy and the environment into play.
