About the job

Have you got a desire to help care for and develop Denmark's royal palaces and protected cultural properties in dialogue with partners and stakeholders?

The Danish Agency for Palaces and Cultural Properties is seeking new employees for the Center for Project & Client, where we work with a completely unique portfolio of Denmark's finest buildings and are among other things in the process of establishing the Realm's Treasury at Rosenborg, restoring the Marble Gallery at Frederiksborg Castle, and roof renovations at Amalienborg.

We are currently facing several construction projects and restorations and therefore require additional project managers, including at least one position with a particular focus on construction management and the execution phase.

About the job bet

You will become part of the Center for Project & Client, where we are responsible for all construction projects and renovation tasks at the state’s most important cultural institutions and palaces. One part of the center, Restoration , works with maintenance and restoration, while the other part, Construction , handles new construction, transformations, extensions, etc.

The positions will be anchored in our cross-functional project management group, where there is also support for financial management, legal matters, and similar from our staff functions. In other words, you will receive all the support and sparring you need in your daily task solving.

You will have significant independent responsibility for driving the projects forward, so we achieve the desired quality with focus on the right professional solutions within price and time. In collaboration with external advisers, you will help prepare construction programs, restoration strategies, adviser tenders and contract tenders, etc., in close cooperation with our users, operations managers, museums, foundations and other contributors.

There is close collaboration with the other centers and units in property management area, which handle other functions related to the property portfolio, including technical maintenance and operation, leasing, etc.

We offer

You will take responsibility for your own projects, where you handle stakeholder management, contract management, management of advisers and contractors, and not least management of finances and schedules.

For one of the positions there will also be a possibility of a particular focus on construction management across several projects.

You will become part of an organization with a unique professional environment and a good collegial spirit, where we prioritize collaboration and sparring on tasks.

In addition, you will meet an organization with a strong focus on well-being, psychological safety, and humor. We are an organization that places these things high on the agenda – not least because we believe it creates the happiest and most productive employees.

About you

We imagine that you are educated as an architect, engineer, building constructor or have equivalent competencies and solid experience with construction processes and phases, and that you master a project lifecycle from preliminary studies to delivery of the finished building.

We are interested in whether

  • you have project management/construction management experience as client, client advisor or adviser
  • you have strong abilities for project management/construction management, structure and overview as well as competences in financial management, procurement and use of IT
  • you are good at communication, both written and oral
  • you have strong restoration skills and experience with construction projects on protected or value-preserving properties.
  • you have experience from public organizations or as an adviser for public clients

We expect that you can independently manage the project management, but at the same time know when you should ask for help and spar with colleagues.

In addition you have high ethics and a good mood. It is natural for you to seek the knowledge you do not have yourself - just as you take pride in delivering high-quality solutions.

Employment terms

These are full-time positions with appointment as administrative officer or senior consultant depending on experience and qualifications. Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the State and Akademikerne or other relevant collective agreement.

It is a condition for employment that you can be security cleared, and that you can maintain the security clearance during employment.

With us you will have a workplace where presence is valued highly. We believe in the value of meeting in person – both to solve tasks effectively, to be able to spar and to maintain a strong sense of community. You should therefore be prepared that the position is largely based on physical presence at our address in Hammerichsgade
