About the job

Would you like to make a noticeable difference in everyday life in the municipality's buildings? We are seeking a project manager who can translate technical knowledge into well-functioning buildings, a good indoor climate and lower energy consumption. Ventilation and indoor climate will be your professional focal point, but you will also have a broad role within energy optimization and general technical building operation.

The position may be interesting for you, who already has solid experience, and for you who are at an earlier stage in your career and would like to develop with responsibility, sparring and a varied task portfolio. You will have great freedom to plan the work yourself and choose how the tasks are solved. We expect, however, that you take ownership, make professional decisions and follow tasks through to completion.

Your day-to-day with us

You will have independent responsibility for the technical installations in your own property portfolio and at the same time work across the municipality's buildings when your specialist knowledge is in play. You have a clear mandate and great influence on prioritization, method and solutions.

You handle both urgent and planned maintenance and energy optimization tasks, and you can also expect to assist with consulting and project review on some of our larger construction projects. Tasks are often solved together with the rest of the team, where we exploit our different professional competences.

We can offer

  • A dynamic workplace with an informal and humorous tone, where social and collegial relations are at the forefront.
  • A strengths-based approach to leadership and collaboration, where we build on opportunities and what gives us energy and job satisfaction.
  • Exciting tasks within maintenance projects, building inspections and technical consulting, where you have the opportunity to contribute to energy optimization and service of various technical systems.
  • Freedom to explore and develop your professional competences in a supportive and inspiring environment.
  • The opportunity to collaborate with skilled colleagues and be part of a dedicated team that is passionate about making a difference for our local community.
  • A family-friendly workplace with flexible working hours and the possibility of home working.

The professional match

It is important that you have knowledge of ventilation and indoor climate and can apply it in practice. Your educational path may vary. For example, you may have a background as a mechanical engineer, installer, energy technologist, engineer, ventilation technician or something similar.

You have

  • Solid knowledge of technical installations and the ability to operate and maintain complex systems.
  • A technical background, preferably from the ventilation industry.
  • A structured and systematic approach to work with a focus on ensuring effective solutions and high quality.
  • Familiar with FM systems and comfortable working in MS Office.

The team and the workplace

Team Energy and Technology is a part of the Center for Areas and Properties (CAE), which employs about 220 employees. We are a cross-functional service center with Facility Management services and construction projects as core tasks. The responsibility for all municipal properties and grounds is consolidated in the Center for Areas and Properties.

In Team Energy and Technology, which consists of 6-7 employees with different technical backgrounds, we manage the operation and maintenance of most technical installations, from electrical and plumbing installations to elevators, swimming pool technology, sewers and pumping wells. Our goal in the team is to achieve reliable installations, improve the buildings' indoor climate and optimize energy consumption.

What we expect from you?

  • You have a positive attitude and a good sense of humor.
  • You have broad knowledge of technical installations and are curious to acquire new knowledge in the technical areas.
  • Tasks are carried out with a high degree of involvement, so you must therefore be able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, covering everything from users and politicians to advisors and contractors.
  • You are good at communicating and collaborating across teams.
