About the job
Center for Klima og Vækst, Natur og Miljø
Do you want to help create more nature, a better water environment and new coherent landscapes in Ringsted Municipality? Are you motivated by making complex projects succeed in close collaboration with good colleagues, landowners, agriculture and local actors?
Then we may have the job for you.
The Green Tripartite sets a new direction for the use of Denmark's land. In the coming years the ambitions must be translated into concrete projects and visible changes in the landscape. This means that municipalities, among other things, must establish low-lying area projects, wetlands and new natural areas, where consideration for farmers, the water environment, the climate and nature must be thought together.
In Ringsted Municipality we are already well underway, and we now seek a project manager for a three-year position, who can help drive the projects from the first dialogues to concrete solutions in the landscape.
You will be part of a strong project team
You will become part of our Green Tripartite project group together with three experienced colleagues who, like you, are passionate about nature and the water environment, and about turning good projects into reality.
We work closely together, share knowledge and help each other with both professional and practical challenges that arise along the way. At the same time you will have independent responsibility for your own projects and good opportunities to influence both the solutions and the way we work.
As a project manager you will play a central role in the work with, among other things, low-lying area projects, wetlands and nature restoration projects. The projects involve many disciplines and interests, and an important part of your work will therefore be to build good relationships and find solutions that are both professionally solid and work locally.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and driving water and nature projects from the early investigations to realization.
A significant part of the job takes place in dialogue with landowners. We place great emphasis on voluntariness, trust and local anchoring, and therefore you must be able to listen, explain complex issues in an understandable way and be curious about different perspectives.
At the same time you must be able to keep direction and momentum in the projects and get the many professional, economic and practical elements to hang together.
Your tasks will include
- to plan and implement nature, wetlands and low-lying area projects
- to create a good and trustful dialogue with landowners and other stakeholders
- to ensure progress in the projects and follow up on timelines, agreements and deliverables
- to coordinate the collaboration between the municipality's departments, external consultants and other partners
- to contribute to preliminary studies, project development and realization
- to communicate projects and professional issues to citizens, politicians and partners
Who are you?
Your educational background may vary. You could be a biologist, engineer, geographer, agronomist or have some other relevant higher education.
The most important thing is that you can combine your professional expertise with project management and collaboration.
We expect that you
- have experience with project management, preferably within nature, environment, water or civil engineering
- understand nature restoration, hydrology, water environment or related areas
- are good at creating relationships and collaborating with people with different professional and practical perspectives
- are interested in strategic land use and in solutions where nature, climate, agriculture and local interests can be thought together
- can create structure and momentum in complex projects
- communicate clearly and trustworthily both orally and in writing
- are keen to work both independently and as an active part of a professional team
You must have a category B driving license.
We can offer
You will become part of a professional environment where we value cooperation, knowledge sharing and helping each other. We have an informal tone and believe that high professionalism can go hand in hand with smiles and laughter in everyday life.
