Psychologist sought as primary therapist in OPUS Ballerup

We are seeking a psychologist for a permanent position as the primary therapist in OPUS.

You will become part of the OPUS Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic at the Psychiatric Center Ballerup, Herlev and Gentofte Hospital. OPUS is an intensive 2-year treatment program for young people aged 18–35 with disorders within the psychosis-/schizophrenia spectrum.

A bit about the job and your everyday life

The outpatient clinic consists of 2 multidisciplinary treatment teams under one roof with shared ward leadership and a team coordinator in each team.

You will be attached to one of the teams. As the primary therapist you will be responsible for a group of patients' 2-year treatment pathway. Typically a patient pathway will take the form of an introductory phase, where work is done to establish a good relationship with the patient and their network. Over the next years the work will involve regular, close contact with the patient, individually and in group work, after which in the last half year of the patient’s OPUS course, a plan for ending will be developed.

You will become part of the multidisciplinary staff group, as well as part of the monodisciplinary psychology group and participate in various meetings.

As a psychologist you also conduct cognitive testing of patients with newly diagnosed schizophrenia, and can, depending on experience, carry out initial assessments.

Qualifications

• Education as a psychologist, cand.psych
• Experience with the psychiatric target group – specifically knowledge of OPUS’s target group is an advantage
• Knowledge of cognitive theory and method and the ability to work within the cognitive framework

Salary and employment terms

Employment offered for 37 hours per week with start date 1 December 2026.

Working hours in the outpatient clinic are from 8:00-15:30 Monday to Friday.

You will be employed under the agreement for academics employed in regions, etc.
