Public Relations Officer

Slotsvænget is a 24/7 social-psychiatric residential facility in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, located in the Bondebyen area in scenic surroundings, close to the Mølleåen. We have space for 21 residents aged 18 and up. Our residents have different support needs, but what they share is the need to be seen and met where they are, and with our professional approach to promote living conditions.

About the job

We are seeking relationship workers with the desire and capability to support a holistic approach. The tasks will be diverse and require professionalism, initiative, relational and creative skills.

Each staff member ensures daily collaboration with the residents through contact, conversations and support based on goals, agreements and newly arising needs. You will become part of a group consisting of about 7 staff members and a team coordinator.

We provide a thorough introduction and ongoing professional development, where you have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge in various areas such as Open Dialogue, hearing voices, CHIME, NADA and coping strategies.

About you

You have at least a mid-level higher education such as e.g. pedagogue, nurse or similar. You are able to apply knowledge and theory in practice and meet others respectfully, empathetically, acknowledging, and at the same time with a view to the individuality of each resident and their life situation and future wishes. You remain calm when meeting people in high-stress situations and provide good professional answers and possible courses of action.

You have good collaboration and communication skills, and can work purposefully and systematically with the varied tasks that span broadly, and you ensure things happen in cooperation with the residents. In addition, you are proactive in acquiring Slotsvænget’s professional approach, as well as developing your own competencies and reflecting on your own practice.

It is important for us, together with the individual resident, to create alternatives/supplements to medical treatment, e.g., NADA, conversations, movement and life-history work. Autonomy and equal value are furthermore fundamental values in our work, and our facility is characterized by a low level of conflict.

The permanent position is 28-37 hours with rotating shifts primarily spread over day and evening hours between 07:00-22:15 and every 2nd weekend. Rarely, some night shifts may occur. Start as soon as possible.

Salary and terms of employment are based on the relevant collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory criminal record.
