Ambulatory care nurse sought for Clinic for Lung Diseases, Gentofte Hospital

We are seeking a nurse for a permanent position of 30-37 hours per week with employment as soon as possible or by agreement.

About the position

Working hours are on weekdays 8:00-15:30 in the outpatient clinic.

The position is a job share, where you as part of the "Joint on-call" arrangement are attached to a respiratory medicine ward at Herlev Hospital. Here you will have two shifts every 6th weekend. Whether day or evening shifts are required is arranged based on your preferences, and you are offered a thorough introduction to the ward.

Clinic for Lung Diseases is a large and highly specialized outpatient department with the following subspecialties:

• Asthma
• Interstitial lung diseases
• Complicated lung infections
• Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency
• COPD
• Tuberculosis
• Complicated sleep apnea
• Oxygen therapy

We work in interdisciplinary teams with high clinical expertise and a strong focus on quality, patient safety and patient involvement.

Your tasks

In the outpatient clinic you will be an important part of the diagnostics, treatment and care of patients with lung diseases. Your tasks may include:

• Lung function testing
• Reversibility testing
• Mannitol and methacholine tests
• NO measurement
• Intravenous treatment
• A-puncture
• Guidance on the use of inhalation devices
• Patient education and counseling

We are looking for someone who

• Is a registered nurse
• Thrives in ambulatory nursing and complex patient pathways
• Wants to develop professionally in pulmonology

Experience in pulmonology is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
