About the job

Are you a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator, and do you thrive on creating structure and coherence in a daily life where no two days are exactly alike?

Do you want to combine classic health administrative tasks with exciting administrative and legal tasks in a specialized field? And would you like to be part of a strong professional community where we help each other and pull together?

We have not found the right candidate, so now you can become our new colleague in the Department of Forensic Psychiatry in Slagelse.

An important role in everyday life

As a medical secretary/SAK at our inpatient ward you will be a central part of the daily operations. You create structure and overview and help ensure quality in documentation, registration and administrative workflows.

You will have broad contact surfaces and close collaboration with among others doctors, nurses, secretary colleagues, patients and external authorities.

At the same time you will have independent responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to development and improvement of our workflows.

A workday out of the ordinary

The forensic psychiatry is a specialized area, and this is reflected in the secretarial function. Here you combine familiar medical secretary and SAK tasks with tasks where precision, timeliness and professional overview are decisive.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • registration and documentation in the Health Platform
  • patient administration in connection with admissions and discharges
  • preparation and handling of declarations, certificates, etc.
  • correspondence and case management in the ESDH system GO
  • coordination with among others the police, Danish Prisons and the State Attorney
  • handling of shared mailboxes and telephone inquiries
  • preparation of agendas and minutes
  • follow-up on deadlines and quality in documentation and registration.

You don’t need to know it all from day one. The most important thing is that you are curious, take responsibility and want to get to know a specialty that offers something out of the ordinary.

You thrive where there is life around you

Your workplace is centrally located in the ward's common environment. Here colleagues, patients, phones, conferences, meetings and questions are a natural part of the workday.

Therefore it is important that you can remain calm and maintain an overview when several things happen at once, and that you can prioritise when the day’s plans change.

We place emphasis on high professionalism, but equally important is good collegiality. We help each other, share our knowledge and believe that humor and job satisfaction belong to a good workday.

We are looking for you who

  • are trained as medical secretary or health administrative coordinator
  • prefer to have experience with the Health Platform
  • work in a structured, independent and quality-conscious way
  • have strong written skills and an eye for detail
  • can prioritise and maintain overview in a changing daily life
  • have good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
  • take responsibility and follow your tasks through to the end
  • contribute positively to collaboration and share your knowledge with colleagues
  • are curious about forensic psychiatry and want to develop professionally.

If you have experience from psychiatry, that is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You will become part of a strong secretary community

The Department of Forensic Psychiatry has about 100 beds distributed across the regional forensic psychiatry and the Security Department. In addition, the Department also consists of the Forensic Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic.

You will become part of a team with six medical secretaries/SAKs and a health administrative manager. We work across the department’s wards and functions and see ourselves as one unified team with shared responsibility for the task.

We collaborate, share knowledge and help each other when needed. You will therefore have a strong professional community behind you, while you also get responsibility and the opportunity to develop in your own role.

Why choose us?

With us you get

  • a varied position with independence and responsibility
  • a specialized work area with professional challenges beyond the ordinary
  • opportunity for professional development and influence on working methods
  • a close interdisciplinary collaboration
  • a strong secretary professional community
  • colleagues who help each other and share their knowledge
  • a workplace where professionalism, community and humor go hand in hand.

Would you like to use your health administrative expertise in a place where your overview makes a difference, and where you also become part of a strong community? Then we look forward to hearing from you.
