About the job
Would you like to be part of a team that is focused on educational quality, where there is room for professional discussions and where we have an easy smile? Would you like to translate data into knowledge that can be used to develop educations and support management decisions?
Aarhus Maskinmesterskole is seeking a maternity leave replacement with the possibility of extension to the Department for Quality, Development and Management Support (KUL).
We are rethinking and further developing the school's quality work and quality system. You will therefore have the opportunity to influence both the content of the position and our future work with quality assurance and quality development of the educations – a task that calls for both educational, organisational and data understanding.
About the position
You will play a central role in our overall quality work, where you must ensure coherence in the entire process from collection and quality assurance of data to analysis, reporting and follow-up. As a quality professional you should be able to see patterns and development trends, ask relevant questions about the data and translate the most important results into a clear and usable basis for management decisions and the quality development of the educations.
The position also includes tasks close to the development and operation of the educations. You will among other things support adaptation and revision of study regulations and other educational documents and contribute to ensuring that the educations’ content, examination forms and procedures are in accordance with applicable law, regulations and other rules.
You will have a broad contact surface and solve tasks both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in KUL and with programme managers, teachers and other colleagues in administration. You will work with both fixed deliverables, recurring quality processes and development tasks, where the path to the good solution is not always given in advance.
Your tasks
Your primary tasks will include
- plan, implement and follow up on evaluations, including teaching, examiner and internship evaluations, and provide support in connection with other surveys and contribute to developing methods and workflows in the area
- collect, compile and process quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external data sources and analyse key figures and development trends within e.g. admissions, dropout, completion, grades, student well-being and graduate employment
- communicate analysis results and contribute to ensuring that data as a dialogue tool is translated into relevant discussions, decisions and follow-up actions
- prepare fixed and ad hoc reports, notes, case presentations and presentations for management and other relevant forums
- support revision and quality assurance of study regulations and other educational documents in collaboration with programme leaders, teachers and administrative colleagues
- contribute to interpreting and translating applicable rules into practice and thus ensure that our educations and offerings comply with regulations for professional bachelor programs and maritime educations, including the STCW Convention
- contribute to the department's other tasks within quality, development and management support, including secretariat support and tasks across our educations and offerings
About you
We are looking for an analytical and structured colleague who wants to thoroughly understand the contents of the educations and the applicable rules. You are motivated to bring your knowledge into play together with others and make analyses understandable and usable.
We imagine that you have a relevant education and preferably experience with analysis and quality work from the education sector. You are a confident user of Excel and SurveyXact and preferably have experience with Power BI or other tools for data processing and visualization.
In addition, we hope that you
- are collaborative and curious about perspectives from other disciplines
- have strong analytical competencies and a good numeracy and data understanding
- can communicate complex results – both in writing, verbally and visually – to different target groups
- work systematically, independently and persistently and follow up tasks and processes through to the end
- have an eye for the connection between rules, processes, documentation and practice
- thrive with both routine operational tasks and development tasks and can prioritise when several tasks need to be solved simultaneously
- thrive in a close and informal collaboration where we speak openly about things and give each other constructive feedback.
About the Department for Quality, Development and Management Support
You will become part of a department consisting of four employees who work across Aarhus Maskinmesterskole with quality assurance and quality development of the educations, organisational and educational development and support for institutional and educational management. In the department we solve tasks together, share knowledge and brainstorm about both methods and solutions.
We offer
- a strong professional and social community with close sparring and collaboration
- a meaningful job close to the educations’ and the organisation’s development
- independent responsibility and opportunity to influence the planning of your tasks
- a flexible working day with good colleagues in an open-plan office and the possibility of home working
Additionally you will have the opportunity to engage in the staff association, participate in Friday social events, become a member of the fitness association or take the initiative for professional and social events yourself.
Salary and terms of employment
The position is a fixed-term employment (maternity leave) on average 37 hours per week with start as soon as possible and no later than 1 December 2026.
The employment is for a period of one year with the possibility of extension.
Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant professional organisation.
You will be employed at Aarhus Maskinmesterskole, Inge Lehmanns Gade 10, 8000 Aarhus C, as well as Aarhus Maskinmesterskole’s associated addresses.
