About the job

You will become part of a dynamic team where we make almost all food and bakery items from scratch. Organic and sustainability are at the center, and quality is always the goal. We work based on the City of Copenhagen’s food and meal strategy so that our residents receive nutritious, tasty and flavorful meals every day. Your tasks

• three weeks in the kitchen producing freshly prepared meals for our residents
• one week in the bakery, where you, together with the baker, conjure with flour, sugar and sourdough
• planning menus, ordering goods and producing meals
• participation in meals and events together with residents and colleagues.

You as applicant

Quality matters a lot to you, and you are proud of what you send out of the kitchen. You love cooking from scratch and have a sense for both taste and nutrition. You take responsibility that both food and baked goods are always inviting, tasty and meet high standards. It comes natural to you to taste and ensure that the result is top each time. With a background in nutrition you have a natural understanding of both taste and nutrition and a desire to continuously develop your competencies both in the kitchen and at the baking table.

You thrive in a community and contribute with both expertise, ideas and good humor. You work in a structured way and keep an overview even when things are moving fast, and you take pride in delivering quality for the joy of both residents and colleagues.

Working conditions and influence

We place great emphasis on flexibility and participation. With us you have influence over both your workday and your working hours. We plan working hours and tasks together, so we take into account both the workplace and the wishes of the staff.

Flexible work scheduling

We adjust the shift plan together and listen to your needs. We work on a fixed rotation with weekend shifts every 4th weekend and four consecutive weekday shifts (11:00–17:30).

Independence

You have great freedom to structure your own workday and participate in decisions about both food, menu and routines.

A meaningful job

Here we create frames for good relationships and food experiences that are meaningful for both residents and staff. Our meals are more than just food; they are one of the day’s best experiences for residents. Therefore we have close dialogue with them and the care staff to ensure that the food hits the mark every time.

Conditions of employment

The position is a permanent full-time position with weekend shifts every 4th weekend. We expect you to start on December 1, 2026. You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement. We will perform a criminal background check and take references in connection with the employment.

If you have previously been employed by the City of Copenhagen, also applies

If you are considered for a position at a municipal unit, we will check whether in the last three years you have been dismissed or terminated by the municipality and share relevant information with the hiring manager.
