The job

With reference to the CCO and based in Brørup, you will be part of more than just a manufacturing company. At Aquagain Folding Smed A/S, good ideas are quickly turned into action. You will get close to customers, projects and the colleagues who make the solutions work in practice.

As a bid estimator you will play a central role in drafting competitive project bids, often via tender portals, primarily for the Danish and Norwegian markets. You must be able to understand the customer's needs, translate technical knowledge into value-creating solutions, and build trust through professionalism, integrity and strong relationships.

Your tasks will include, among other things

• Prepare and follow up on complex project bids.
• Review tender material, specifications and technical documentation.
• Obtain and evaluate bids from suppliers and partners.
• Define technical solutions in collaboration with colleagues across the organization.
• Participate in customer dialogue, bid presentations and contract negotiations.
• Ensure a good handover of sold projects to project management.
• Contribute to the development of sales and bid processes – including digital tools and AI.

Aquagain sees AI as a tool to support quality, overview and efficiency in bid work. For example, it can be used to structure tender material, quality-check bid texts, summarize technical documentation or create better overview in a complex bidding process.

Qualifications

We imagine you have a technical background such as engineer, marine engineer, production technologist or similar combined with solid experience in bidding, technical project sales, process plants, machinery sales or equivalent.

You are used to working with complex technical projects where economy, quality, documentation, resources and customer needs must align. You are motivated by creating well-prepared bids that can be translated into concrete orders. Thus you can combine technical and commercial understanding.

In addition we emphasize that you

• Work in a structured, analytical and quality-conscious way.
• Have good technical, commercial and financial understanding.
• Have experience with bid estimation on larger technical projects – preferably up to about DKK 100 million.
• Can assess resources, timelines and project execution.
• Can build trust and long-term customer relationships.
• Have strong IT skills and are curious about digital tools and AI.
• Master Danish and English at negotiation level.

You do not need to be an AI specialist. The most important thing is that you are curious about the possibilities and the development of more efficient workflows in the sales organization.

If you have experience from the water and wastewater sector, that is a clear advantage. The same goes for experience with AB18/ABT18, NS8405/NS8507, larger project calculations or AI-assisted bid management.
