Re-advertisement: General Worker to the Road Team in Ishøj Municipality

Do you enjoy working independently, do you have experience with larger machines, and do you thrive with a varied work day? Then you might be the one we are looking for for our Road Team in Ishøj Municipality.

We are looking for a capable and dedicated general worker for our Road Team, which is part of the operations department under the Center for Properties and Areas.

Your primary task will be to operate a street sweeper and help keep the municipality's roads, paths, and sidewalks clean and well maintained. You will become part of a small team with good colleagues, an informal tone, and a daily where we help each other to get tasks done.

You will have an independent workday with freedom under responsibility, but you should also be prepared to lend a hand when needed.

Your primary tasks

• Driving a street sweeper on the municipality's roads, paths and sidewalks.
• Care and maintenance of the municipality's road verges.
• Weed control, including as a substitute operator on our steam machine.
• Participation in the municipality's winter duty scheme from the 2027/2028 season.
• Other practical operations and maintenance tasks in collaboration with the rest of the Road Team.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have experience with larger machines, are practically inclined, and enjoy outdoor work. You can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, but are also a good colleague who contributes to the team.

We emphasize that you

• Have a driver's license for category B and C (a requirement).
• Have experience operating larger machines – preferably a street sweeper.
• Are reliable, flexible and have a positive attitude towards work.
• Can work independently and at the same time be part of a team.
• Have a pesticide certificate or are willing to obtain it.
• Are prepared to participate in the municipality's winter duty scheme.

Winter service

From the winter season 2027/2028 you will be part of the municipality's winter duty scheme with a shift every third week in the winter half-year, corresponding to six weeks of duty in total.

A attractive pay supplement is provided for participation in the scheme.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week with salary and terms according to the applicable collective agreement.

Ishøj Municipality has smoke-free working hours.
