About the job
We are seeking a psychologist to teach, supervise and advise municipal employees in STIME (Styrket Tværsektoriel Indsats for børn og unges MEntale sundhed).
What is STIME?
STIME is a partnership between municipalities and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, which aims to prevent psychological distress among children and adolescents before it develops into psychiatric problems. To date, five treatment manuals have been developed in STIME, which municipal clinicians are trained in by regional instructors and supervisors, after which they can be used directly in the municipalities’ easily accessible treatment offers for children and adolescents with mental distress.
This is the important role you can help lift – that together with the municipalities we succeed in offering an earlier intervention for children and adolescents in mental distress before there is a need for psychiatric treatment.
The five manualized treatment tracks address the symptoms of worry and sadness, self-harm, thoughts about body and food, repetitive thoughts and actions, as well as restlessness, inattention and impulsivity. Read more about STIME here .
There is a strong focus on the task, and with the Acute Plan it has been pointed out that STIME should contribute to the development of even more treatment tracks, and health councils also point to cross-sectoral work, which is central to successfully helping children in distress. This is therefore a completely unique opportunity for you to help lift this important task, while offering competence development, supervision and guidance to municipal employees, and also contribute to the development of new manuals.
Who are we in STIME in Region Zealand?
In Region Zealand's STIME team, there are two experienced psychologists and a senior psychologist. We are further supported by a medical doctor in child and adolescent psychiatry who will soon retire and an administrative staff member. But we need one more psychologist in the team. It is a team with a high ceiling, where you have great influence on planning your own working time, and where we greatly involve each other in the issues we encounter in our daily work.
For example, the distribution of tracks among the instructors will not be locked and we have ongoing dialogue in the team about each person’s interests and development areas.
All of the region’s 17 municipalities are part of the STIME partnership and offer one or more of STIME’s treatment tracks. Most are in the process of implementing all five tracks that have been developed so far. Municipal STIME clinicians are therefore also close collaborators with the regional instructors and supervisors.
Important competencies you should have as a trainer, supervisor and advisor in STIME
- You are a licensed psychologist with experience in child and adolescent psychiatry or otherwise have knowledge of psychiatry
- You are able to bring your psychology expertise into play as a trainer in a teaching room, where the focus is on the regional specialist knowledge meeting the municipal early intervention in an equal partnership.
- You have experience with supervision and a desire to use your psychological knowledge as a supervisor for municipal employees – where some are handling treatment tasks for the first time, others are experienced clinicians.
- You have experience with telephone counseling and/or counseling via Teams
- It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of and understanding of the municipal context
- It is also an advantage if you have clinical experience in one or more of the target groups: self-harm, early signs of eating disorders, OCD, ADHD, anxiety and depression.
Responsibilities
- Plan training programs and teach municipal clinicians together with STIME colleagues in several of STIME’s treatment tracks.
- Be responsible for supervising municipal clinicians based on STIME's manuals. You will typically have between 3 and 5 supervision groups in progress and the supervision will extend up to a year after the training program.
- Advise municipal clinicians and staff (phone/Teams)
- Contribute to the implementation of the easily accessible treatment offers in national, regional and municipal settings.
- Conduct treatment courses for children, adolescents and families where STIME tool from the manuals can be used, as practical experience is the best preparation for teaching and supervising in the manuals.
What we can offer
- An exciting psychologist/senior psychologist position in a completely unique and cross-sectoral unit, where you will work closely with other psychologists, and where STIME sits alongside the rest of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the clinical daily life.
- A flexible workplace with varied tasks, room for remote work, and influence on your own scheduling, but also where the vast majority of time can be placed between 08:00 and 16:00.
- Opportunity to use your psychology expertise and knowledge in psychiatry for teaching and supervision of municipal staff.
- Participation in new development tasks in STIME, where there may also be national activities focusing on cross-sectoral collaboration
- Good opportunities for professional and personal development
- You will, together with the rest of the psychology team, receive external supervision of the supervision you give to municipal staff.
In addition, you will become part of a professional psychology community consisting of three colleagues in the STIME team and three psychologists from the suicide prevention function who are located on the same site. All with broad treatment experience and extensive knowledge of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
