About the job
Are you the type who can both hold on to professionalism and see the person behind the case?
Can you make a professional decision, even when it isn't the one the citizen had hoped for – and at the same time make the citizen feel seen and heard?
Then maybe you are the one we are looking for.
We are looking for two area visitators for full-time positions in the Visitation.
With us you will be part of a professionally strong and multidisciplinary group of 18 employees, of which 9 are area visitators. We work with authorities in the elderly and health sector, and our everyday life is characterized by great variation, professional discussions and close collaboration.
A role with both breadth and depth
As an area visitator you talk to many citizens and help coordinate their pathways. You must be able to see the whole person and at the same time maintain the authority-oriented view.
That means you must be able to make a concrete and professional assessment of the citizen's needs, make decisions and follow up on whether the help that has been granted is still the right one.
You will work with both new applications, follow-up and revisitation.
Part of the task is also to assess the citizen's need for assistive devices. This means you must be able to assess the citizen's functional level and match it with the right product. If you are curious about assistive devices, that is a plus.
You will have many conversations with citizens, relatives and partners. You must therefore be able to listen, ask the right questions and at the same time dare to make the decision that your professional assessment points to.
A daily life in change
If you thrive best with everything laid out, and you know exactly how your workday will look in a year, maybe this isn't where you should apply.
The Visitation and the entire elderly and health sector is in change. We are in the middle of implementing the new Elderly Act, while the health reform will change tasks, organization and collaboration interfaces.
This means that our everyday life can also change quickly. You must be able to see the opportunities in that.
You will be part of a politically governed organization, where decisions and priorities at political level can affect our everyday life. It requires that you can navigate in a reality where professionalism, legislation, economy, political decisions and citizens' needs must go hand in hand.
In return you get the opportunity to be involved as things develop – and to have influence on how we solve our tasks going forward.
Who are you?
Maybe you are already a visitator. Maybe you work somewhere else today, but want to try your hand at the authority role.
The most important is that you have a relevant professional background and desire to work with authority in the elderly and health sector.
We imagine that you
- have a relevant health professional education – preferably occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
- have experience with or interest in authority work and/or assistive devices
- can work independently and structured
- have good communicative and relational skills
- see collaboration as a professionalism
- can stand behind your professional assessments – even when the decision is not what the citizen hoped for
- are eager for professional sparring and to contribute to our shared professionalism.
But we are also open to the possibility that the right candidate may look different.
For us it is more important that you have the right professional approach and the desire to work with authority, than that you can tick off every single point.
What do you get with us?
You will have the opportunity to work independently on your own cases, but with colleagues around you to brainstorm with.
You will have a daily life with variation, professional challenges and development opportunities – and you will become part of a group where we value professionalism and well-being.
And you will have colleagues who are eager to have you with us.
