Relationally strong temp workers for Fuglebakken - a home for young people in need of engaged adults

The Family Area - Døgn is seeking engaged and responsible substitutes for Fuglebakken. We need regular substitutes who can step in during illness, holidays and peak periods.

As a substitute, you will be part of everyday life with six young people aged 15 to 22, where you create safety, support the young people in their everyday life and handle both the good and the difficult situations. You will receive a thorough introduction to tasks, methods and documentation and become part of a professional environment where we work deliberately with relationships and take responsibility for our encounters with the young people.

About Fuglebakken

Fuglebakken is a children and youth home, with space for six youths aged 15 to 22. We work from an affirming and mentalizing approach, with a focus on pedagogical relational competence. This means that we meet the young people with curiosity, respect and clarity and take responsibility for the quality of the relationships.

About the work

As a substitute you will become part of a professionally strong environment, where we work based on Fredericia Municipality's view of children and the strategy for the specialized social area.

Your tasks will include

• Create safety and stable conditions for the young people.
• Participate in structured pedagogical work with a focus on relationships.
• Support the young people in their daily life including school, education and leisure.
• Participate in practical tasks in the house.
• Document observations and interventions in our journaling system.
• Handle conflicts and acute situations professionally.

We are looking for someone who

• Is educated as a social educator, pedagogue or SSA – or has relevant experience.
• Can remain calm and have an overview in pressuring situations.
• Has strong relational skills and can build trust with young people.
• Thrives with changing work hours, day, evening, night and weekend shifts.
• Has a driving license (B), as the position involves driving in connection with accompanying the youths to their appointments and activities.

Salary and employment terms

In accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization.
