About the job

Would you like to be part of the world's largest humanitarian organization and contribute to a safe and dignified stay for people in vulnerable life situations? Do you want to make a difference for residents at an asylum center?

So we are looking for a center employee for our Department for Residents with Special Needs at Departure Center Kærshovedgård.

Departure Center Kærshovedgård is operated by Denmark's Prisons (formerly the Kriminalforsorgen), while the Red Cross handles a range of social and supportive functions. The center houses up to 400 residents – including refused asylum seekers, foreigners with expulsion orders and people on toleration of stay.

The Department for Residents with Special Needs has a capacity of 22 places for single men. We work with residents who have psychosocial or health challenges such as mental vulnerability, substance abuse and isolation. We use a holistic approach and focus on supporting the individual’s development and well-being. In addition we work with the BVC score – and are in the process of implementing the LA2 method. Our goal is to create a safe, dignified and meaningful everyday life for the residents.
