Are you passionate about creating safe, developmentally appropriate and inclusive learning environments for children and youth with special needs? Do you have strong relationship skills, a sense of community, and the ability to stay calm in complex situations? Then you are our new colleague at Broager School.
About the position
The position is a new initiative to support students and colleagues in daily life, where you will act as the link between classes, students and staff. You will have the opportunity to shape your own tasks and, together with the management and other staff, tailor them as needed.
We are looking for an educator who can function as an active and visible resource in daily routines and who can contribute to creating coherence between students, classes, employees and teams.
The position will be anchored in Broager School’s special class range, but will also include tasks and collaboration across the school’s general education area. We work from a shared view of children and see cooperation between the general and special areas as a crucial prerequisite for creating the best participation opportunities for all students.
We are looking for an educator who
- Have strong relationship competencies and the ability to create trusting relationships with students, parents and colleagues—and believe that everyone does the best they can.
- Are present, acknowledging and security-creating.
- Have experience with AKT work.
- Are calm, composed and professional in pressured situations.
- Have experience with children and youth within the specialized area, particularly ADHD and socio-emotional challenges.
- Can serve as a bridge between the general and the special area as well as between the different teams in the special department.
- Work proactively and have a sense of where the effort is needed.
- Can act independently and make qualified decisions based on the day's situation and the department's overall needs.
- Are clear, structured and predictable in their educational approach.
- Can participate as an active and visible resource in daily life in the department
We offer
- An exciting and meaningful position with great potential to make a difference for students with special needs.
- A professionally strong and engaged staff team.
- An employer with a focus on well-being, development and collaboration.
- An opportunity to actively contribute to the continued development of the school’s special educational practices.
- Ongoing sparring and professional development, and a culture where we learn from each other.
- An workplace with high ceilings, humor and an interest in community.
Employment terms
- Permanent position of 34 hours per week.
- Employment as soon as possible or by 1 December 2026.
- Expected participation in department meetings, team meetings and other relevant meetings.
