About the job

Committed and relationship-driven pedagogue with AKT-like function sought at Broager School

Are you passionate about creating safe, developmental and inclusive learning environments for children and young people with special needs? Do you have strong relational skills, a sense of community and the ability to stay calm in complex situations? Then you are our new colleague at Broager School.

About the position

The position is a new initiative designed to support pupils and colleagues on a daily basis, where you will be the link between classes, pupils and staff. You will have the opportunity to shape your own tasks and, together with the management and other staff, adjust these as needed.

We are looking for a pedagogue who can function as an active and visible resource in everyday life, and who can contribute to creating coherence between pupils, classes, employees and teams.

The position will be anchored in Broager School's special class range, but will also include tasks and collaboration across the school's general education area. We work from a shared view of children and see collaboration between the general and special education areas as an important prerequisite for creating the best participation opportunities for all pupils.

We are looking for a pedagogue who

  • Has strong relational skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues – and believes that everyone does the best they can.
  • Is present, affirming and creates a sense of safety.
  • Has experience with AKT work.
  • Is calm, composed and professional in pressured situations.
  • Has experience with children and young people in the specialized area, particularly ADHD and socio-emotional challenges.
  • Can act as a link between the general and the special education area as well as between the different teams in the special department.
  • Works proactively and has an eye for where the intervention is needed.
  • Can act independently and make qualified decisions based on the day's situation and the department's overall needs.
  • Is clear, structured and predictable in their pedagogical approach.
  • Can function as an active and visible resource in the everyday life of the department.

We offer

  • An exciting and meaningful position with great opportunity to make a difference for pupils with special needs.
  • A professionally strong and engaged team of staff.
  • A workplace focused on well-being, development and collaboration.
  • Opportunity to actively contribute to the continued development of the school's special educational practices.
  • Ongoing sparring and professional development, and a culture where we learn from each other.
  • A workplace with room to grow, humor and an interest in the sense of community.

Employment terms

  • Permanent position of 34 hours per week.
  • Employment as soon as possible or by 1 December 2026.
  • Attendance at departmental meetings, team meetings and other relevant meeting forums is expected.
