About the job

I am looking for a reliable/stable Wednesday-, Thursday- or Friday-shift with m/f, fixed 2-4 shifts of 22 hours (from 13:00 to 23:00) per rotation (4 weeks) to start with and at the same time be an important part of my team, who helps during holidays and sickness.

The right profile will be able to get quite a few more shifts.

I am a 53-year-old man who until not long ago lived an ordinary, exciting and responsible life as a co-parent to two children, with a good job as a director and a close circle of friends.

Recently I still have that, and the children have grown up and moved out.

I still keep the family close, and I have thankfully tried many things before the accident.

My life changed radically when I was involved in a very serious accident in December 2014.

After a very long rehabilitation period and a year and a half in hospital, I returned home in a wheelchair, with a BPA arrangement and extensive help.

I spend daily time on rehabilitation, which must be done according to the training program at home, in addition to three times a week at the Øfeldt training center in Karlslunde, as well as driving my disabled car back and forth and to other chores outside the house.

My team consists of 5 helpers; most of them have been on the fixed team for many years. Most are women, which is fine, but the wish for a somewhat mature man with an interest in the practical tasks that come with keeping a home functioning fully is present. However, gender is not the most important factor.

The most important is a service-minded person who has experience with personal care, preferably Uri-dominant, personal hygiene, ceiling lift and portable lift.

Also cooking and light cleaning. & driving license.

By nature I am endowed with a positive attitude and strong will, so despite serious disabilities my mind is mostly on the bright side.

I have through extensive training regained strength in one arm, and a little less in the other. With diligent use of my self-purchased standing/support table and the “Combi-bike” I train a lot.

The head is now okay. So 100% focus on the body now.

I obviously still sit in a wheelchair, but hopefully only for a maximum of 5 more years.

I hope for good chemistry and humor. For the right profile, a good job is offered.

There is a helper room available with a desk and bed.

If the above has sparked your interest, please send an email with a good description of yourself and a rough CV. And if there is a positive match I think we should meet, and then we’ll take it from there.

Best regards

Jakob

NB: I am a considerate smoker / My home does not smell of smoke.
