RECRUITMENT. KOLBØTTEN IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA SEEKS A QUALIFIED EDUCATOR

We are seeking an educator, primarily for the kindergarten - preferably as soon as possible, otherwise by 1 December 2026.

The position is as a rule 37 hours.

You must be qualified to be considered.

Kolbøtten is an integrated motor skills institution, established in 2018. We emphasise that there is ongoing professional focus on movement and competence development.

Kolbøtten has worked on the implementation of 'Nest meets daycare', which is a community-supporting pedagogy.

We want a colleague who;

• is generally in good spirits, present, caring and appreciative
• is professionally engaged and able to look beyond each child's behavior
• enjoys movement and is good at initiating activities
• has an organizational overview and can work in a structured way, so that you, in collaboration with your colleagues, can plan an educational practice according to the needs of the whole group of children
• values a respectful and egalitarian collaboration with colleagues and parents
• is steady and can have working hours in the period 6.30 to 17.00

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary is determined after negotiations with the bargaining-authorised professional organisation based on qualifications, unless the position is covered by a pre-arrangement which can form the basis for salary setting

Weekly hours: 37

A PART OF MIDTBYENS DAYCARE

Kolbøtten is one of Midtbyen’s Daycare’s nine departments with almost 600 children. In the daycare, we are around 180 staff, which means we have many different resources to draw on - for the benefit of the children’s well‑being and development. Our view of children means that in the pedagogical work we focus on working with learning environments, so that all children have the opportunity to participate.

Development work takes place partly at the daycare level, where resource people and managers from the departments work together, partly in the departments where initiatives are tested in practice. We place high value on community in the daycare and therefore hold an educational Saturday for all staff once a year. Here a current topic is addressed that is relevant for all departments. All departments have a lunch scheme and their own kitchens, where nutritious, organic food is produced every day.

The meal has great pedagogical significance: Children are introduced to a variety of foods and through the meals gain knowledge of the seasons, holidays and traditions. Midtbyen’s Daycare district school is Samsøgades Skole, with which we work closely – including in the transition from kindergarten to school.
