Then you may be the person we are looking for as a resource educator in BFO Fritter Fri.

At Fritter Fri we are strong in our core task: We create environments where children can be formed, thrive and develop in communities in a safe setting.

As a resource educator you will have a special role in this task. You will help create opportunities for participation for children who, at times or more persistently, need extra pedagogical support, and you should be able to bring your professional expertise into play both around the individual child and around the communities and environments the child is part of.

Your most important tasks

As a resource educator you have a special task concerning children who need extra pedagogical support in their school and leisure life.

You have an eye for the individual child and start from the premise that all children do the best they can. It is our task as professionals to create the frameworks and structures that give children the opportunity to succeed, learn and develop.

At the same time we have a strong focus on communities, because all children have the right to be part of a community that is meaningful to them.

We are therefore not only concerned with the child, but also with the communities, demands, structures and adult positions the child meets.

As a resource educator you will, among other things

• Create structure, predictability and good participation opportunities for children with special needs
• Support children with socio-emotional challenges
• Work relationally with both the individual child and the child group
• Contribute with pedagogical perspectives and actions in cross-professional collaboration
• Help develop inclusive learning and leisure environments
• Create coherence between school, recess and BFO
• Be able to adjust your own and shared practice when a child has difficulty succeeding
• Keep an eye on which learning environments you will co-create in the afternoon at BFO.

You work closely with teachers and educators to understand the child's needs and create the framework that makes it possible for the child to participate, develop and feel like a meaningful part of the community.

PUF – pedagogical support during breaks

As part of your school assignment you also take part in PUF – pedagogical support during breaks.

In PUF we actively use our pedagogical expertise in the children’s breaks. We work to create good play and participation opportunities, support relationships and communities and help children who may have difficulty finding their way into play on their own.

The pedagogical work during breaks helps create better conditions for well-being, community and for the teaching the children return to afterwards.

Your competencies

We are looking for an educator who

• Has a pedagogical education
• Has experience with – or strong interest in – working as a resource educator
• Has a strong professional view of children with socio-emotional or other special needs
• Can adopt the child’s perspective and fundamentally believes that all children can succeed given the prerequisites they have
• Can look behind behavior and be curious about what the child is trying to tell
• Is strong in relationship work and can create good relationships both with and among the children
• Has an eye for both the individual child and the communities the child needs to participate in
• Can contribute to inclusive communities where also children from the group arrangement experience participation opportunities and belonging.

In Fritter Fri you become part of a BFO with about 120 wonderful children – both from the district and from the group arrangement.

You will become part of a strong and engaged team of 10 employees with diverse experiences and competencies. We are also a practical training institution and place emphasis on professional reflection, development and learning in everyday life.

We are focused on our core task and on continuously developing our pedagogical practice. This means that we talk about what we do, are curious about each other’s perspectives and dare to adjust our practice when the children call for something else.

Fritter Fri is located on the Baltorpskolen grounds, where we have our own premises and our own outdoor area.

Who are we

• BFO is closely linked to Baltorpskolen, and all employees are a meaningful part of the overall organization
• As our new resource educator you will have hours in the lower school and help create coherence in the children’s day across school and leisure time
• You will become part of PUF and our collective work to create good breaks and strong child communities
• We work, among other things, with a basis in Low Arousal and BAL – Ballerup’s Analysis of the Learning Environment
• The working hours are from 06:30–16:45 Monday to Thursday and 06:30–16:30 on Friday.

Employment process and salary

The start date is 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible.

We continue to accept applications up to week 44.

The position is, in principle, a permanent 37-hour week job.

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for pedagogues in day-care institutions, after-school programs, clubs, etc., in municipalities and according to the principles of local salary formation and in agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position is 37,195 DKK – 41,503 DKK per month before pension (37 hours)

The salary depends on a negotiation between the manager and the professional organization that has the negotiating rights for the applicable agreement.

The pay composition depends on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
