Restaurant Manager sought for Sophiendal Slotshotel

Sophiendal Slotshotel is seeking an engaged and experienced restaurant manager who wants to become an important part of our team and help create memorable experiences for our guests.

Sophiendal Slotshotel is located in beautiful, historic surroundings near Skanderborg, where we work with hotel, restaurant, events, conferences and special arrangements. For us, personal hospitality, quality and attention to detail are at the center.

Your role

As restaurant manager you will be a central part of the daily operation in the restaurant. You will be responsible for ensuring that our guests experience a high and professional level of service – while helping to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Your tasks will include

• To ensure professional and personal guest service
• To take responsibility for the restaurant’s daily operation in collaboration with management
• To plan and execute events, weddings, conferences and other arrangements
• To have an overview of table plans, service and timing
• To advise guests on the menu, wines and other beverages
• To ensure good collaboration between the restaurant, kitchen and other departments
• To help coordinate substitutes when we have larger groups or many guests
• To contribute to maintaining and developing our high standard of hospitality

We envisage that you

• Have experience as restaurant manager/head waiter – preferably from hotel, restaurant or events management
• Have a natural flair for hospitality and guest contact
• Are professional, service-minded and approachable
• Can keep an overview, even when it’s busy
• Have an interest in food, wine and gastronomy
• Work in a structured and independent manner
• Have a good sense of humor and contribute positively to the working environment
• Are flexible regarding working hours, weekends and holidays

The most important, however, is that you are passionate about giving guests an experience they will remember.

Work will primarily take place in the evening and weekend hours, and you can expect to work on holidays in connection with events and holidays.
