Retail assistant for a workplace that's a little out of the ordinary

Would you like a job with fixed working hours, varied tasks, and time off every Tuesday and Friday (and all weekends)?

Our grocery shop is located somewhere few shops are, namely behind the walls in Herstedvester Prison. From here we run a shop for the inmates, as well as packing and delivering goods to detention centers on Zealand.

We are now looking for a new part-time colleague, 20-25 hours per week, spread over three weekdays:

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between 8:00 and 16:00.

A workday with different tasks

You won't necessarily have two identical workdays. Some hours are spent on classic shop tasks, while other times you may need to pack orders or be out on the road with goods.

• Serve customers and provide good service
• Stock up goods and ensure the shop looks inviting
• Pack and prepare orders
• Deliver goods to detention centers around Zealand.

You will therefore have a job where you work independently, meet people, and get out from behind the shop a bit.

Who are you?

Your previous job title is not the most important to us. You may have experience from retail, warehousing, service, transport or something completely different.

The most important is that you are reliable, take responsibility and are willing to lend a hand where there is a need. You thrive working independently, are service-minded and good at interacting with different people.

In addition you must

• be able to speak Danish
• have a valid Category B driving license
• be able to present a clean criminal record.

An unusual place to work

Herstedvester Prison is of course not a typical workplace, and special security conditions apply. You will be introduced to the frameworks and rules that apply, so you are well prepared for the job.

It is a prerequisite for employment that you can be approved by the Kriminalforsorgen. In connection with any potential employment you will therefore be asked to consent that Kriminalforsorgen can obtain relevant information about you.

Practical

The position is offered as a part-time employment of between 20 and 25 hours, distributed on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00–16:00.
