Sales Advisor – Design & Lighting | Full-time – Spotlight Aarhus

Spotlight is looking for an engaged Sales Advisor on a full-time basis for our store and showroom in Aarhus. You will become part of a team where sales, advice and the great customer experience are the focus – and where we work with some of the leading brands in design lighting.

With us, sales is not just about finding a lamp. We advise on light, function, interior design and design, and help both private and professional customers find the solution that suits their room and needs.

About the job

As a Sales Advisor you will be an important part of daily customer contact in Aarhus.

You will greet customers, assess their needs and advise on products, lighting and interior design. Some customers come for a single lamp, while others need help with lighting in an entire room or a larger project.

You do not need to know all of our products or be an expert in lighting from day one. The most important is that you have experience with sales and customer service, are interested in design and interior, and want to develop professionally within lighting.

You will receive a thorough introduction to our range and ongoing training – both internally and in collaboration with our suppliers. The position therefore offers good opportunities to build strong knowledge about light, products and advice and to develop in pace with the role.

Your tasks

• Advising and selling to private and professional customers
• Creating a present and professional customer experience
• Follow-up on customer inquiries and offers
• Advising on products, design and lighting solutions
• Contribute to small and large lighting projects
• Telephone and written customer contact
• Ensure that the store and showroom always appear inspiring and ready for sale
• Receiving goods and other tasks that naturally belong to daily store operations
• Collaboration with colleagues in Aarhus and the rest of Spotlight

Customer comes first, but you should also thrive with a specialty shop having many different tasks during a workday.

We imagine that you

• Have experience with sales, advice and customer contact – preferably from the retail sector
• Have a strong interest in design, interior and architecture
• May have a background in furniture, interior, kitchen, home, lighting or architecture
• Are good at understanding customer needs and translating them into a solution that works practically and aesthetically
• Have natural sales drive and are motivated by creating good results and strong customer experiences
• Are outgoing, trustworthy and good at communicating with different types of customers
• Work independently, take initiative and follow through on your tasks
• Have an overview and can maintain it even when it is busy
• Are a team player who contributes positively to cooperation and helps where there is a need
• Communicate confidently in Danish and can serve customers as well as have dialogues with suppliers in English

Experience with lighting is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important is that you want to learn and develop professionally within light, design and advisory.

For the right person, who both desires and has the potential for more responsibility, the position can over time develop into a role as Store Manager.
