Scan Wear seeks a Category Buyer – Textile

Category responsibility, sourcing and close collaboration with customers and suppliers

Are you experienced in textiles and international sourcing – and motivated by taking responsibility for your own categories and being close to both customers, products and suppliers?

At Scan Wear you will become an important part of a family-owned growing company. You will be responsible for a large private label client and play a central role in developing product categories, supplier collaborations and new business opportunities.

As a Category Buyer you will have substantial professional influence and the opportunity to shape how you work with your categories and suppliers. You will be part of a strong team with short decision paths and close collaboration across sales, purchasing and our international offices.

The role involves international travel activity of about two weeks per year, typically spread over two trips. In daily work we offer flexible hours, where you as a starting point can arrange your hours between 7:00 and 17:00.

We have had great success putting the customer at the center and are constantly seeking to create value for our customers and our own brands.

Your tasks

• Category responsibility with focus on product, price, quality and on-time delivery
• Price negotiations and commercial agreements with suppliers
• International sourcing and development of new suppliers and partners
• Close collaboration with sales regarding customer inquiries, calculations and product opportunities
• Drive projects from inquiry and sourcing to pricing, samples and orders
• Close collaboration with the purchasing coordinator on order flow and timely deliveries to customers
• Development and evaluation of existing suppliers
• Sparring and knowledge sharing with the other Category Buyers

We envision that you

• Have solid purchasing experience from the textile or apparel industry
• Experience with private label is a big plus, but by no means a requirement
• Have experience with international sourcing and direct supplier collaboration
• Be a strong negotiator with good commercial and product understanding
• Have a natural customer-first mindset and always think of the customer in everything you do
• Be proactive, curious and solution-oriented and take ownership
• Thrive on both independent category responsibility and close team collaboration
• Communicate confidently in Danish and English and be prepared for international travel

The most important for us is your textile professional experience, understanding of private label from need to final product and a commercial approach to procurement.
