Ølgod School is much more than the fine buildings located in the middle of town and right by the forest. It is a place where communities are formed and endure. Therefore both the 59 staff and the 458 students are determined to find the right school leader, who has feet firmly planted in the West Jutland soil and at the same time dares to dream big and has high ambitions on behalf of the school.

The school’s leadership team consists of four leaders who collaborate closely – also across the school's two sites. As school leader you also join a broader leadership community as part of the school leadership group across Varde Municipality. You will become part of a strong and ambitious professional community, where leaders develop and lift the schools together.

The group is characterized by high trust, sparring and knowledge sharing, and the individual school leader receives both professional support, managerial development and the opportunity to influence the strategic development of the municipality's school system. Mentor program and warm welcome

As a new school leader in Varde Municipality you will be encompassed by an onboarding program that will ensure a good and coherent introduction to the organization and the leadership role. As part of the program you will meet relevant partners across the municipality’s different administrations and thus gain early insight into central interfaces and collaboration relationships. In addition you will be assigned a mentor among the other school leaders, who can contribute with sparring, experience and help navigating the role and the organization.
