Sct. Jørgens School in Roskilde seeks a science teacher

Are you our new colleague who wants to help make an amazing school even better?

We are looking for a teacher who knows how to create a safe learning community and understands meeting the students' differences – their academic, social and personal needs.

We imagine that you are a qualified teacher, with a science-focused profile, and can teach e.g. mathematics and science/technology in our Department 1 (0-5 grades).

In addition it would be helpful if you can teach in e.g. physical education and/or Danish as a second language, but for both parties it is not a must. And if you have interest in other school subjects, we would also like to hear from you.

Team collaboration

• Teachers and pedagogues are organized into teams around one or more year groups and subjects.
• In the team, the work with the children's learning and well-being is discussed and determined, as well as how the team achieves the results/goals that are set based on the annual plan.
• The team is the base for reflection and sparring with focus on remaining academically qualified and engaged teachers by strengthening the debate about academic topics, teaching methods, teaching materials and the children's learning.
• Well-being and relationships are another important focus area for the team. The goal is that all children and adults thrive and experience good relationships.

Sct. Jørgens School is a school with about 600 students, 55 teachers and 20 pedagogues.

The municipality's personnel policy is characterized by being value-based, where ambitions, job satisfaction and responsibility are keywords.

We are organized into two overarching departments: 0-5 grades and 6-9 grades. The individual teacher normally teaches within the department to which they are attached.

We imagine the position to be a full-time role, but a part-time arrangement can also be agreed.

We want the position filled no later than December 1, 2026.

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement. Upon hire we will obtain a child and criminal record check as well as references.
