Senior AI Developer (GenAI & AgenticAI)

Apply for the position The banking sector is in the middle of a significant shift. Rising customer demands and complex operations challenge the traditional way of delivering advice and service. At the same time, much of the advice is based on patterns and data - and here artificial intelligence can contribute to reducing costs, improving relationships with customers, and making banks more competitive.

At Bankdata we have in recent years built experience with both classic Machine Learning, LLM-based solutions, and AI agents for more complex tasks and hyper-personalized solutions. This has laid a solid foundation for our continued work.

Bankdata is investing significantly in AI and has a clear ambition to make the technology a central part of future banking solutions. You will become part of this initiative and take a key role in developing, operating and building enterprise-grade GenAI solutions directly into mobile banking, CRM and other business-critical platforms.

The Role: From AI concepts to stable production

You will be a key profile in taking AI solutions all the way to production. That means you will not only work with LLMs and the latest GenAI frameworks, but also with what makes the solutions durable: data, integrations and backend architecture.

You will

• Build GenAI and agent systems with integration to the existing system landscape
• Design agent flows that challenge the status quo
• Ensure data quality and data integrity in solutions that handle mission-critical data
• Work with evaluation and quality assurance of non-deterministic solutions
• Develop APIs and integrations to existing platforms
• Build production-ready systems and ensure stable operations

You will work across the stack but with a clear backend and data focus.

What success looks like after 6–12 months

• You have helped build and launch at least one AI-based business solution into production
• The solution is used by real users (customers or advisors) in concrete workflows
• There is established documentation of the solution’s business impact (proof-of-value)
• You have implemented robust data pipelines with clear handling of data quality and data integrity
• GenAI components are integrated stably with existing platforms
• You have taken responsibility and actively contributed to the preparation of the necessary compliance documentation.

The Team: Front-runners in AI with a focus on delivering AI business value in production

You will become part of an ambitious and experienced AI team (NewTech) that is particularly strong at translating new GenAI technologies and concepts into concrete solutions with real business value. We operate safely in a technology landscape characterized by high complexity, uncertainty and constant change - and we have experience in quickly delimiting opportunities to a clear scope, prioritized functionality and a solution that can be tested in practice.

We combine experimentation and high development speed with solid engineering, quality evaluation, integration, security and compliance. We work mission-based with clear goals, short feedback loops and a lot of responsibility for our own work. Things move quickly, and we prioritize progress highly – without losing focus on building robust AI solutions that can function in a complex enterprise context.

The profile we are looking for: Backend-heavy AI developer with solid data and technology understanding

We are looking for someone who cannot help but keep up with AI advances, but who also respects customer-facing AI.

You have experience with

• Backend development: Software solutions in Python and Java as well as APIs and integrations
• GenAI and agent systems: LLMs, GenAI frameworks, agent systems, skills and agent harnesses
• Data engineering: Data pipelines, data quality and data integrity
• Cloud and DevOps: Cloud platforms, preferably Azure, as well as CI/CD and stable operations
• Production-ready AI solutions: Evaluation, quality assurance and responsible use of GenAI in an enterprise context

We are open to both experienced profiles and promising developers who are early in their careers. The most important is that you are ambitious and have a drive to both build innovative solutions while taking responsibility.
