Senior Business Process Manager – Commercial Excellence
Coop Denmark, Albertslund
Do you want to help further develop and strengthen central commercial processes in Coop Denmark, one of Denmark's largest retail companies with 900 stores and 40,000 employees?
We are seeking a Senior Business Process Manager for a newly created role with high visibility and opportunity to set the direction for one of our most important commercial disciplines. You will have a central role in developing and optimizing our assortment change process and contribute to creating simpler, more digital and efficient workflows across the organization.
With us you get significant influence, substantial responsibility and broad collaboration interfaces. You will become part of an organization with high complexity and strong professional communities, where your analyses, recommendations and improvement initiatives have direct impact on the business results.
The position is particularly interesting for you who come from a consultancy house or a larger, complex organization, and who are motivated by driving changes, creating structure in complex processes and translating strategy into concrete results. At the same time you will have the opportunity to take professional leadership and be a sparring partner for the team’s consultants and senior consultants.
About the job
In the role as Senior Business Process Manager in our Commercial Excellence Team (KomEx) you will be responsible for driving optimization and further development of our assortment change process end-to-end – from ongoing improvements to larger transformation initiatives. The goal is to create more efficient, data-driven and digitally supported processes that make everyday work easier for the business and deliver lasting results.
In addition you will get professional leadership in the team that works with the assortment change process, the team including among others consultants and senior consultants with extensive professional knowledge. You contribute with sparring, coordination, prioritization and best practices, and the role suits you if you thrive on creating structure in complexity and getting people, processes and technology to work better together.
Your new team
Commercial Excellence (KomEx) works to strengthen and professionalize Coop's commercial engine through an analytical, data-driven and process-oriented approach. The team plays a central role in translating strategies into concrete results and developing the processes that support Coop's commercial agenda.
You will become part of a specialized team of nine employees consisting of process consultants, as well as tool and data specialists. Together we drive development and optimization initiatives with significant business impact and close collaboration with stakeholders across Coop.
You report to the Head of the Assortment area in Commercial Excellence and become part of an environment characterized by high professionalism, strong collaboration, personal development and a strong social community.
Your role
The assortment change process is one of Coop's most important cross-functional processes with many stakeholders and dependencies across the organization. There are already strong processes and collaboration interfaces established, but there is also substantial potential for further standardization, digitization and optimization.
You will play a key role in creating greater coherence across category chains, Supply Chain, Campaigns, Space Management and other partners. Together with the business you contribute to developing the processes of the future supported by among others SAP S/4HANA, Relex, Power BI and new AI-based solutions.
You will, among other things, be responsible for
- Create structure, transparency and stronger collaboration across functions
- Map, analyze and further develop processes and workflows
- Identify and drive optimization, digitization and transformation initiatives
- Facilitate workshops and ensure progress across stakeholders
- Drive implementation and anchoring of new processes and solutions
- Contribute to governance, standardization and system support
- Ensure ongoing improvements and handling of operational challenges
The role offers great freedom and the opportunity to deliver visible results in a business-critical part of Coop.
Who are you?
You are analytical and structured – but even more importantly, you make things happen. You thrive at the intersection of analysis, business and implementation and are motivated by creating lasting improvements in a complex organization.
You combine a results-oriented approach with strong relational skills. You listen, build trust and bridge between people, functions and perspectives. At the same time you take natural ownership, contribute with professional sparring and help the team succeed collectively.
We imagine that you
- Have several years of experience with process optimization, transformation, business development or management consulting, preferably with experience from commercial processes and retail
- Come from a consulting firm or a larger complex organization
- Have experience with end-to-end processes, optimization and transformation initiatives across the business
- Have led projects and driven progress among many stakeholders
- Are strong in stakeholder management and relationship building
- Can work both strategically and hands-on and translate analyses into concrete results
- Have experience with digitization and preferably AI-supported processes
- Communicate clearly and are able to gain buy-in
- Are motivated by knowledge sharing, professional leadership and strong collaborations
- Speak and write Danish, our corporate language is Danish
