About the position

As a Senior Controller you will have a central role in a client team, where you will become a key person within accounting, controlling and complex closing processes. You will work closely with both internal collaborators and external stakeholders – including auditors, legal advisers and managers – and you will have a large responsibility to ensure the quality of our financial reporting.

The role is perfect for you who have a background from auditing or have worked with larger groups and corporate structures, where you have led audits, handled complex accounting questions and been in close dialogue with stakeholders.

Your primary tasks will include, among others

• Daily controlling, bookkeeping and reconciliation of balance, intercompany and bank accounts for a portfolio of properties
• Monthly and quarterly closures and budget follow-up, including preparation of quarterly and annual reports according to relevant international standards, including audit material
• Ensuring corporate legal requirements, tax matters and other legislation
• Sparring on and handling of accounting issues, including assessment of accounting principles, estimates and notes

About you

We are looking for you who is professionally strong, analytical and used to taking responsibility for the quality of your work. You communicate clearly and professionally in dialogue with both auditors, management and other stakeholders – and you are able to translate complex accounting knowledge into clear recommendations. You are service-oriented and proactive in your approach to tasks, and you thrive in a collaborative environment.

Furthermore we imagine that the ideal candidate has;

• A relevant education, minimum HD(R) – and very preferably topped up with a Cand.merc.aud
• Experience from an audit firm or from a similar senior Controller role
• Familiarity with, and experience of the Danish Financial Statements Act, corporate law and preferably international accounting standards
• Strong analytical skills and solid accounting technical understanding
• Can communicate fluently in both English and Danish – written and spoken

Additionally it would be beneficial if you have experience with or familiarity with the real estate industry.
