Be part of shaping the infrastructure of the future and take a key role in exciting bridge and civil engineering projects for some of Denmark's most significant clients.

Transportation at AFRY develops and advises on sustainable transport infrastructure for future generations. You will be part of an ambitious interdisciplinary team that takes pride in finding functional, sustainable and innovative solutions within, among others, roads, bridges and tunnels, railways, mechanical- and electrical installations in tunnels and ITS systems in connection with traffic information on motorways and many other civil engineering tasks.

In Civil Engineering, which is part of Transportation, you will become part of a strong professional environment that works with, among others, roads, drainage, rail, bridges, tunnels, geotechnics and civil engineering constructions across Denmark.

Job Description

As a Senior Engineer you will have a central role in developing our activities within bridges and structures. You will become an important technical sparring partner and will be responsible for both projects and clients. Your tasks will include

• Design, engineering and preparation of tender documents
• Quality assurance and technical sparring within bridges and structural works
• Project management and technical leadership on projects within operation, maintenance and new construction
• General- and special inspection duties
• Contribute to bid work and business development across Civil Engineering.

In this job you will have the opportunity to gradually take over a larger responsibility for the department's operation and maintenance tasks on larger civil works. We envisage the role potentially developing into team leadership.

Qualifications

We imagine that you have a solid technical background and experience from the consulting or similar industry. You may also have

• Education as civil- or master of science in engineering in a building- or structural-direction combined with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Experience with bridges, tunnels, foundations, retaining walls, water constructions or other civil works
• Documented experience with operation and maintenance of bridges and civil works
• Experience with project management, technical leadership or coordination of complex civil engineering projects
• Danish and English language skills at a professional level.
