Do you want to play a central role in a team with a focus on expertise in exciting and varied road projects?

At AFRY Transportation we develop and advise on sustainable transport infrastructure for future generations. You will become part of an ambitious interdisciplinary team that takes pride in finding functional, well-thought-out and innovative solutions. Road, tunnel, railway and ITS are among our core areas, and our customers range from large public clients to private companies.

About the tasks

You will become part of Road & Sewage service area, where we are known for delivering quality on time. With us you will have colleagues who prioritise collaboration, knowledge sharing and an engaged professional community.

As a senior road engineer you will handle design and project management and act as an active professional sparring partner in the team, where there is work with design and execution of small and medium road projects.

You will be tasked with handling.

• project management and design of roads and paths in small and medium projects
• quantities estimation and descriptions according to applicable standards
• preparation of tender material for clients
• construction supervision and site management in the execution phase
• collaboration with AFRY's international design center in Noida, India.

You will also contribute to further development of tools and methods and engage in close professional collaboration with the department head and the other disciplines at AFRY. You will have lots of skilled colleagues, professional challenges and influence.

Qualifications

About you

We are looking for someone who is open to the role of project manager and professional sparring partner – and who can keep overview, connect the threads and make things happen across disciplines. You are structured, quality-conscious and known for honoring agreements and delivering on time. We think you are a perfect fit for the job if you:

• are educated as a civil- or diploma engineer
• have experience with project management of small and medium-sized projects
• have experience with road design and geometry
• are familiar with digital tools such as MicroStation and OpenRoads
• have knowledge of AB18/ABR18
• have experience with tender processes
• can operate effortlessly in Danish and English – both written and spoken.

You understand the importance of close and good dialogue with both customers, colleagues and suppliers, and you thrive in an environment where collaboration and coordination are crucial.

Work location

AFRY has 9 locations in Denmark. Your fixed base will be from our office in Herlev, Herning or Aarhus.
