Workplace

Would you like to help strengthen Bech-Bruun's financial foundation? As a Senior Finance Business Partner you will have a central role in optimizing working capital and developing the processes, reporting and tools that support the entire business.

Who we are

Bech-Bruun is one of Denmark's leading law firms with a turnover of over DKK 1 billion and 600 employees. We are present and engaged in our collaboration, ready to take responsibility and connect across disciplines and the organization. At the same time we communicate and work To The Point - clearly, efficiently and with focus on what creates value.

About the position

We are strengthening our Finance function with a newly created role as Senior Finance Business Partner responsible for working capital, reporting and process development.

You will become the company's fulcrum for working capital - from time recording through ongoing work and invoicing to payment. You will also be a central sparring partner for partners and fee earners across the business areas and will have an important role in further developing processes, reporting and tools.

The position reports to the Finance Director. There is no personnel responsibility in the role, but as you structure the processes - supported by AI and new reporting - additional resources can be added as needed to the area.

Your areas of responsibility

Working capital and follow-up: You monitor the working capital from time recording through ongoing work and invoicing to payment. You ensure timely and complete time recording in Intapp Time, follow up on ongoing work and outstanding invoices and establish a fixed and predictable follow-up cadence across business areas.

Sparring and client dialogue: You advise partners and fee earners on invoicing timing, on-account settlements, payment agreements and further handling. By agreement you also participate in dialogue with key clients and their finance functions about outstanding invoices, including requirements for invoice format, e-invoicing and approval portals.

Process development and collaboration: You further develop the follow-up processes with clear steps, deadlines, division of responsibilities and escalation paths. You work closely with secretaries, billing managers and the accounting department and contribute to anchoring consistent workflows across the business.

Reporting and data: You follow up on relevant KPIs such as capital lock-up days, DSO, collection rate and realization rate and provide the business explanation behind the numbers to management and the partner group. You are also involved in further developing Power BI reporting and the use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Automation and AI: You contribute to using AI and analytical tools for data-driven prioritization, pattern recognition and effective communication and have the opportunity to implement new solutions in the area.

We expect that you

  • have experience with receivables management and working capital from a partner-driven business - preferably from the legal sector, alternatively from audit or advisory; a background as an auditor would also be relevant.
  • understand the relationship between time recording, ongoing work, on-account settlements, realization rate and financial management at case level.
  • have natural influence and be a skilled relationship builder who can advise experienced partners and drive progress.
  • be analytically strong and proficient in Excel.
  • have experience with ERP systems such as Business Central, Navision or similar and preferably with Power BI.
  • be curious about AI and digitalisation.
  • work in a structured and independent manner with a sense for process, documentation and follow-up.
  • master Danish and English at negotiation level, both written and spoken.

As a colleague

You thrive in a role where you work both analytically and are good at building relationships. You are present in dialogue with the business, committed to creating durable solutions, ready to take responsibility and strong in collaboration across the finance function and Bech-Bruun.

You communicate clearly and precisely and can translate complex financial issues into concrete and actionable terms for those who need to act on them.

Contact

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Finance Director Morten Stein Salmark at phone number 25 26 35 28.

The application deadline is Monday, 19 October 2026.
