About the job
Join us in building digital products for millions of readers
Do you want to help develop digital solutions that readers encounter across, among others, Berlingske, B.T., Weekendavisen and Euroinvestor and at the same time have real influence on how the technical solutions should be built?
APT (Amedia Product and Technology) is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer for Team Content Services. Here you'll get a hands-on development role with large technical responsibility, where you follow your solutions from the initial considerations of architecture and data models to development, release and operation.
At the same time you will become part of a common Nordic product and technology organization, where the Danish and Norwegian environments have been brought together. There are still many things to shape, and not all technical choices have been made in advance. This gives you good opportunities to influence both the solutions and the technical direction.
Build solutions that readers actually encounter
In Team Content Services we develop digital products and features that support journalism across Amedia's media.
The tasks range from smaller components and embeds that need to go into production quickly, to larger products with their own frontend and backend that must be operated and developed over several years. For example, solutions for elections, securities universes and tax lists, or interactive universes in connection with the World Cup, Tour de France and royal events
As a senior profile you still want to code and be close to daily development, but you will also contribute to architecture, technical decisions, code reviews and professional sparring.
An important part of the work will also be to assemble the Danish and Norwegian product portfolio. The ambition is to increasingly develop common solutions that can be used across media and markets.
Your tasks will include
- developing and further developing services and user interfaces primarily in TypeScript and Node.js as well as frontend work in, among others, React and Svelte
- take end-to-end ownership of solutions from technical design and data modeling to development, release, operation and further development
- contribute to architecture and technical decisions with a focus on quality, scalability and maintainability
- work closely with Product Manager to understand needs and translate them into concrete technical solutions
- contribute to assembling existing Danish and Norwegian solutions into a common Nordic portfolio
- spar with other developers through, among other things, code reviews and knowledge sharing
- collaboration with colleagues in both Denmark and Norway as well as with Product Lab and APT's platform and infrastructure teams.
Who are you?
We imagine that you are an experienced developer who both enjoys delving into code and lifting your head to take a view of the overall solution.
You have solid experience with TypeScript and Node.js and have worked with databases and data modeling. If you have experience with React and/or Svelte, that is an advantage, but the essential is your technical understanding and ability to understand both new and existing solutions.
You do not need to come from the media industry, and your formal educational background is not decisive either. We place greater weight on your experience, technical professionalism and the responsibility you have previously taken.
We place particular emphasis on that you
- have a good understanding of software architecture and can see technical connections across
- can take independent ownership and make technical decisions
- can translate needs and ideas into concrete technical solutions
- have experience building solutions that must function stably in production - even after release
- enjoy code reviews, professional sparring and knowledge sharing
- communicate clearly and can make complex technical issues understandable to others
- are curious, proactive and want to influence the technical direction rather than just having it dictated.
AI is already a natural part of the development work at APT. Therefore we also welcome that you have experience with tools such as Claude and are curious about how AI can make development work better and more efficient, while you take responsibility for the quality of the code that ends up in production.
An across Denmark and Norway team
Team Content Services is part of Product Lab and currently consists of two developers in Denmark and three in Norway. You will therefore work closely with colleagues across borders and with the team’s Danish Product Manager and Delivery Manager.
The culture is characterized by trust, autonomy, and professional sparring. There should be room to experiment, learn and challenge existing solutions, and you will have the opportunity to join at a time when the joint organization and the technical collaboration forms are still being shaped.
Who are Amedia and APT?
Amedia is one of the Nordic region’s largest media groups and Norway’s largest publisher of editorial media. In Denmark, Amedia owns Berlingske Media with Berlingske, B.T., Weekendavisen and Euroinvestor.
APT is Amedia’s common product and technology organization. About 220 employees including contractors across Denmark and Norway work with, among other things, websites, apps, editorial platforms, personalization, data & AI, subscription solutions, advertising, infrastructure and cybersecurity.
The ambition is simple: to develop robust digital solutions that can be built once and create value across media and markets and thus give the media even better opportunities to focus on what is their core: journalism.
The practical
The position is 37 hours per week with the workplace at Pilestræde 34, Copenhagen K. APT offers flexible working with the option for home office. There may also be occasional travel between Denmark and Norway.
