Senior Legal/Procurement Manager

Metroselskabet has the responsibility for planning, construction, operation and maintenance of Copenhagen's Metro. We are also working on future metro projects, including the upcoming M5 to Refshaleøen and Lynetteholm as well as a possible extension in Nordhavn. The metro and light rail are central elements in a sustainable development of the capital region, and further modernizations and extensions of the public transport infrastructure are expected for many years to come.

About the job

Do you want to work with complex procurements and contracts in some of Denmark's largest and most significant infrastructure projects?

As Senior Legal/Procurement Manager you will have a strategically important role in Metroselskabet's Department for Procurement and Contract Management. The department is responsible for procurement strategy, tendering and contract management across the organization and in connection with the company's large construction projects.

You will become part of a professionally strong team with a close and constructive collaboration. In the role you advise the organization and drive tender processes in close collaboration with project managers and technical specialists – in accordance with the rules for utilities.

Your tasks range from developing procurement strategies and preparing tender materials to bid evaluation, negotiation and contract conclusion. You will among other things work with complex construction contracts in the area of infrastructure and transport systems as well as procurement of consulting services, IT systems and other operation-related services.

The position requires a strong legal and commercial overview as well as the ability to balance Metroselskabet's interests, risks and the suppliers' terms.

Your main tasks

You will among other things

• develop and implement procurement strategies for large projects and other procurement areas
• advise on and conduct procurements in accordance with applicable procurement rules
• prepare tender materials and contracts in collaboration with technical and commercial specialists
• evaluate bids and conduct complex commercial negotiations
• maintain dialogue with suppliers and other relevant stakeholders
• contribute to an effective, constructive and professional collaboration – internally and externally
• contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the department's methods, processes and tools.

About you

We imagine that you

• hold a Master of Laws, cand.jur., cand.merc.jur. or have an equivalent legal education
• have at least 10 years of experience with procurement law and contract law
• have solid experience with drafting and negotiating complex contracts
• have strong commercial understanding and experience with supplier negotiations
• communicate clearly and professionally – both orally and in writing – in Danish and English
• thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration and can build good relationships across the organization and with external partners
• actively contribute to a positive, inclusive and professionally strong working environment.
