In IT Project & Portfolio Management you will have the management responsibility for 16 specialists and a number of external project managers. The area plays a central role in translating strategic ambitions into concrete results by creating an overview of the IT portfolio, supporting prioritizations and ensuring alignment between capacity and deliveries. You will lead a team that brings together project management, portfolio management and the Business Partner function, and you will collaborate closely with leaders and specialists across Energinet from your base in Fredericia.
"We are seeking a leader who can create a common direction and strong decision foundations in a complex portfolio. You bring people together around shared goals and translate strategy into action. At the same time, you will play a central role in developing people, processes and collaborations across the organization." – Lotte Pape Topholt, Director, Management Office & GRC
Set the direction for project and portfolio management
You report to the Director of Management Office & GRC and assume overall leadership and professional responsibility for IT Project & Portfolio Management. Your task will be to create alignment between Tech & Innovation's strategic goals and the concrete execution so that investments, capacity and prioritizations support the business needs.
- Lead, develop and motivate the employees in IT Project & Portfolio Management and set a clear professional direction for the area.
- Further develop IT’s project and portfolio management and ensure a scalable delivery and governance model that creates progress from idea to value realization.
- Create transparency in the total IT portfolio and strengthen the decision basis across value, economics, capacity, risks and dependencies.
- Develop governance, prioritization processes and management reporting that support effective and well-founded decisions.
- Strengthen collaboration between IT and the business through clear processes and a close interaction between the central PMO function, the Business Partner function and the local portfolios that support Energinet's core deliveries.
What you need to succeed in the first 6-12 months
- Established strong relationships with senior management, the team, and the key stakeholders in and around the IT portfolio.
- Created greater transparency in the IT portfolio and set a clear direction for the development of project and portfolio management, including governance, processes and reporting.
- Created engagement and ownership in the team and contributed to a common governance model that makes it easier to prioritize, follow up, and drive forward the most important initiatives.
You combine leadership with strong business understanding
We imagine you as an experienced leader who thrives on creating structure and direction in complex contexts. You have solid experience with project, program or portfolio management in a larger organization and understand how governance, prioritization, capacity and business needs must work together in practice. You can navigate between strategy and operations, translate goals into concrete actions and create buy-in through dialogue, involvement and clear communication.
It is an advantage if you have experience with governance, transformation initiatives, management reporting and cross-cutting change processes. Most importantly, you should have the desire to take responsibility for an area in development, where you must create clarity, develop people and ensure progress in collaboration with many different stakeholders.
With us you will have the opportunity to shape a central management discipline in an organization with great societal importance and help ensure that the IT portfolio creates real value for Energinet and for society.
