Job Description & Summary

Do you want to work with the operational tasks you thrive on today – but do it for changing clients, so you continually expand your professional expertise? And would you like to learn to work with both process descriptions and optimization of internal control environments if you can’t do it yet?

Then a professionally strong team of supportive colleagues stands ready to become your lifeline in the field, as we loan out your skills to different clients for shorter or longer periods.

”You will often encounter new systems and agreements. So this is really a great learning opportunity, where I can promise you that you will never get bored,” says Director in CFO Service Ann-Christina Marcus.

Keep the client's payroll under control – from the client's site or our office

It varies from client to client where you will spend your day. Some clients want you to spend all your time with them, for others it makes more sense for you to be at the PwC office, or a combination that works best.

The client assignments typically last 3-4 months, but some extend up to 1 year or more. And sometimes it happens that you are on several client projects in parallel.

The tasks vary a lot from client to client, but you will typically

  • drive the entire client's payroll from A-Z
  • perform payroll reconciliations and controls
  • map and optimize the client's processes and internal control environments – we are happy to introduce you to this part.

You fly solo with the client – but are never alone

Initially you will be well oriented to the task by the client's Engagement Manager with us, whom you are always welcome to seek sparring from. The same goes for the colleagues in the team, who are available both by chat and phone – and actually also all other colleagues at PwC, regardless of area of expertise.

Finally you will be assigned a Career Coach who closely follows your development and helps you apply your skills to relevant projects.

”You will never feel alone, for there is always a colleague to reach out to. No matter where you are, and how long you are seconded, we do a lot to ensure that you primarily feel like a PwC’er,” – Ann-Christina.

Every 2nd Friday you typically work from the PwC office, so you keep even better contact with your colleagues. We also often meet for social events.

You have solid payroll expertise – and will try it in new surroundings

You adapt easily to new places and enjoy chatting with the client’s staff by the coffee machine or water cooler. And we expect that you have:

  • a few years of experience in payroll and are comfortable running the processes independently
  • experience with at least 1 payroll system and are good at picking up new ones
  • experience with bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • possibly experience with process descriptions and optimization projects, but this is not a requirement.

Grow here. Go further.

As part of PwC you are part of a market-leading success and a great place to be. It is in the interplay between the two that trust is built, you learn new things and develop. Together with your colleagues you help create innovative solutions for business and the society we all are part of.
