Randers Regional Hospital is seeking a senior researcher with a strong research profile and experience in clinically oriented research aimed at professionally bachelor educated staff. We want a candidate who will contribute to building a strong interdisciplinary research culture across the hospital.

A strategic role with real influence

As a senior researcher you will have an important and visible role as a key person in translating the hospital's research strategy into concrete actions that strengthen research capacity, methodological competencies and project development among professionally bachelor educated staff groups.

The role combines strategic development with practice-oriented support of research activities, and you will have great influence on how research and development work among professionally bachelor educated staff is strengthened and organized going forward.

Your areas of responsibility

In addition to co-chairing the cross-professional Development Council (TPUR) and permanent membership in the hospital's Research Council, you will become an active key person in the work to develop and build research competences among professionally bachelor educated staff at the hospital. Your tasks will include, among other things, to

• set the direction for the development of research and capacity building for professionally bachelor educated staff through strategic research efforts, integration of theoretical reference frameworks and identification of potential research questions
• support the development of research projects and research collaborations by inspiring employees to translate clinical problems into projects, lift development and quality work into research and contribute to expanding the hospital's cross-disciplinary research environments
• strengthen research competences and engagement in research among professionally bachelor educated staff through talent development, workshops, teaching and supervision of employees in research methods and project development with a focus on making development and research tangible for the professionally bachelor educated
• contribute to visibility, engagement and knowledge sharing internally at the hospital, and support presentation and dissemination of the hospital's research externally

A research environment in development

At Randers Regional Hospital we have high ambitions for research within the common diseases that affect many citizens. We work purposefully to build strong and attractive research environments and we want to be known for our results, research cooperation and strong professional communities.

The hospital is currently consolidating a new organization of the hospital's research support, where you will play an important role in the strategic research discussions. You will become part of the Research Support, and have a unifying and coordinating role in relation to the hospital's research efforts.

Research Support consists of

• a senior researcher within the professionally bachelor educations ( this position )
• a research coordinating chief physician who becomes your close collaborator
• an academic coordinator as link to Aarhus University
• two AC staff who support the senior researcher, research coordinating chief physician, academic coordinator and the research work across the hospital

Thus there is organizational backing and competencies to support the research work.

You will report directly to the hospital leadership.

Frameworks for research and function

The position is a full-time position and provides an opportunity to combine practice-oriented support of research activities within the professionally bachelor educations with an agreed share of own research anchored at Randers Regional Hospital.

We are seeking a profile who

• as a starting point preferably has a background in professionally bachelor educations and at least a health science PhD (preferably lecturer-qualified or with ambitions to become so)
• has solid research experience and strong methodological competences, especially within the qualitative area, through own research within profession-based and/or clinically close research areas
• has experience with supervision and research pedagogy and can create relationships, networks and engagement around research
• has strategic understanding and ability to develop research initiatives across specialties
• is motivated to develop others and make research relevant in the clinic
• thrives in a role with collaboration, sparring and coordination

As a senior researcher you will

• influence the continued development of research at an ambitious regional hospital
• have the opportunity to shape the research efforts and strengthen the professional research capacity across the hospital
• work closely with the research coordinating chief physician, research council, academic coordinator, hospital management, cross-professional development council and clinical environments
• have the opportunity to support the building and shaping of new research environments and research talents within the professional bachelor fields
