At Sweco Rail you get a key position in the development of complex railway projects for Banedanmark and DSB across the country. We are looking for an experienced traction power engineer – preferably with discipline lead experience, who wants to take responsibility, set technical direction and actively contribute to both the projects and colleagues' development.

In the Department for Rail, Bridge & Tunnel we work nationwide with all phases of infrastructure – from design and planning to construction, operation and renovation. You will become a central part of projects within rail, bridge and tunnel, where your competencies in traction power and cable systems have strategic and operational significance.

About the position

As a Senior Traction Power Engineer you will have the technical responsibility for design, planning and implementation of traction power installations in larger infrastructure projects. In close collaboration with project managers and other specialists you ensure that the solutions are technically robust, reliable in operation and in full compliance with applicable standards and requirements.

Your primary responsibilities include, among other things

• Design of traction power installations, including adjustment of k-hangers, addition stages, temporary line insulators, traction power frames, KA and BPU.
• Preparation of technical documentation, calculations and specifications.
• Discipline responsibility on projects and active participation in project and coordination meetings.
• Consequence simulations and clarification of requirements related to operation and maintenance.
• Assessment and optimization of solutions for foundations and masts on platforms and on open track.
• Contribution to traction power remote control, switching diagrams and 3D modelling.
• Contribute to supporting a professional and safe working environment.

About the right candidate

We are seeking a structured and analytical profile with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. You are a graduate or civil engineer with an electrical engineering profile and are motivated to deliver safe, efficient and future-proof solutions in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

You have experience as a discipline lead, or have a clear desire to develop in that direction – and you manage to combine technical depth with overview and direction.

• Have solid experience with traction power design on railway projects.
• Work safely with relevant construction documents and technical standards.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both Danish and English
• Thrive in a environment characterized by high professionalism, respect and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
