Senior Advisor to strengthen DR's reputation and external relations

About the job

As a senior adviser, you will be a key player in an agile PA setup that is part of DR’s overall communications department. You will have a broad touchpoint across the organisation and will help to bind political servicing, stakeholder dialogue, strategic communication and press closely together.

Your main tasks will be to

• Build and maintain relations: Ensure constructive and proactive dialogue with key stakeholders across the international network, the political system, interest organisations, cultural life and the media sector.
• Strengthen DR’s reputation: Identify and manage reputational risks in time, and prepare analyses, briefings and talking points for DR’s various management levels.
• Driver of strategic PA initiatives: Translate complex media-political frameworks at national and European levels into clear political and communicative messages.
• Cross-cutting collaboration: Work closely with those responsible for press, strategic communicators and subject-matter experts in DR to ensure that our external relations are supported by a unified communications effort.

Who are you?

You have solid experience with strategic communication and political decision-making processes and understand how media, authorities and political actors interact. You are comfortable in the political landscape and can build trust with many different external partners.

We envision that you have

• Education: A long higher education in, for example, political science, social studies, communications or the like.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience from full-time employment at, for example, a PA-/communications agency, the Parliament (Christiansborg), an interest organisation or central administration.
• Strategic and cross-disciplinary perspective: You view politics as an integrated part of the overall communications palette and understand how press, digital and stakeholder communications support each other.
• An understanding of complexity: You can immerse yourself in complex cases, political initiatives and reports and translate them into action and analysis.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently: You thrive in a department where colleagues help each other achieve goals, and you meet colleagues across disciplines with curiosity and respect. You are capable of driving projects on your own and thrive with the responsibility that follows.
• Sharp communication skills: You write concisely, precisely and engagingly – whether it’s notes for the management, analyses, debate articles or message papers.
