SFO educator (special class) at Skæring School

We are seeking a professionally grounded pedagogue with enthusiasm and ability to work professionally with the children's learning, well-being and development in both teaching and the SFO, based in one of our two special classes for grades 1-3. Our SFO is departmentally divided into 0, 1-2 and 3 classes, but we strive to work a lot across. Among other things, therefore all pedagogues are attached to both a year-group team and an across-team activity team with a primary focus on either outdoor life, creativity or play & movement.

You will as an SFO pedagogue be the consistent adult who is with the children in both teaching and after-school activities, and must as such be able to see opportunities by working pedagogically on both arenas.

We are seeking a trained pedagogue who

• Has special educational-pedagogical competencies.
• Is recognizing and inclusive, and can build a trusting relationship with children and parents.
• Is clear and explicit in action and words, both verbally and in writing.
• Is creative, engaged (and engaging) and open.
• Can stay calm when the situation requires it.
• Has good collaboration skills, and can contribute to the professional learning community.

Skæring School is a large public school north of Aarhus with 850 students from 0-9. All pedagogical staff are organized in year-group teams, and you will participate in a cross-disciplinary team consisting of teachers and pedagogues.

The school is located a few hundred meters from the water, and we enjoy good space on the outdoor areas and large green spaces around the school.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary setting takes place after negotiation with the negotiating-authorized professional organisation based on qualifications, unless the position is covered by a pre-arranged agreement, which can form the basis for salary setting
