About the job
Would you like to help prevent sickness absence and strengthen the connection to the labor market in Favrskov?
Are you motivated by helping people maintain their attachment to the labor market? Do you want to work preventively and help develop a new initiative from the ground up?
In Favrskov Municipality we are strengthening the preventive effort against sickness absence. The goal is for fewer citizens to develop long-term sickness absence, and for more to maintain their attachment to the labor market.
Jobcenter Favrskov is therefore establishing a new prevention team that will offer guidance, sparring and individual pathways to employees and employers at private and public workplaces. The prevention team, named ’Team Favrskov Forebygger’, focuses on well-being, retention and prevention of sickness absence.
The team is established as a result of the employment reform that took effect on 1 July 2026. The reform means, among other things, that employers have gained greater responsibility for handling sickness absence. With the prevention team, Favrskov Municipality aims to support employees and employers with early help, sparring and concrete solutions, before challenges develop into longer-term sickness absence. As part of the team you will have the opportunity to help shape the effort from the start.
The team will consist of four employees in total. In addition to you and another new colleague, Favrskov Municipality’s current retention consultant and business coordinator will also be part of the team. In everyday life the team will sit together, which provides good opportunities for sparring, knowledge sharing and close professional collaboration.
In addition to the preventive effort, the team will also carry out the existing retention effort for citizens on sickness benefit residing in Favrskov Municipality. Part of the existing case load and the related authority tasks will be anchored with one of the upcoming employees. Experience with authority work and knowledge of the sickness benefit area and the employment area in general will therefore be an advantage.
The tasks in the team call for various professional competencies. Therefore we are looking for two engaged employees with their own professional profiles:
- A health care professional consultant (e.g., physiotherapist or occupational therapist)
- A consultant with experience in stress coaching, well-being and/or mental health
Common to both positions is the desire to make a difference for people experiencing physical or mental burdens that affect their working life.
Responsibilities
In the startup phase you will be an important part of the work to establish and develop the initiative. Since the initiative is new, the first period will have a strong focus on creating familiarity with it among companies and other relevant cooperation partners.
A substantial part of the work time will therefore consist of proactive contact with companies, where the purpose is to inform about and make visible the prevention team’s offers and opportunities. You should therefore enjoy making telephone contact with companies and be motivated to build relationships.
In addition you will help develop workflows, methods and collaboration interfaces so the initiative has a strong foundation and becomes a natural entry point for workplaces in Favrskov Municipality that wish support for prevention and retention.
When the initiative is established, your primary tasks will include
- Conduct individual conversations and programs with citizens who experience physical or mental challenges in working life
- Help citizens maintain their connection to the labor market and prevent longer-term sickness absence
- Identify resources, barriers and possible actions with the individual citizen
- Advise and spar with employers on well-being, prevention, retention and relevant support schemes such as a § 56 agreement, personal assistance, etc.
- Contribute to the development, evaluation and ongoing adjustment of the initiative
- Participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration with relevant internal and external actors
We envisage the following profiles
Health professional
- Is educated as a physiotherapist or occupational therapist or has another relevant health care profile
- Has experience with rehabilitation, prevention, working environment and/or return to work
- Understands the connection between physical health, functional abilities and working life
Stress coach/well-being
- Has experience with stress coaching, mental well-being and/or psychosocial issues
- Has relevant education or continuing education within the area
- Has experience with conversations, guidance or coaching of people in demanding situations
Common to both profiles
- You are motivated to help build something new
- You work independently, take initiative and thrive with responsibility
- You enjoy a role with many contact surfaces and cross-sector collaboration
- You are good at building relationships and trust
- You thrive in working with well-being, retention and prevention within the framework of the municipal employment effort
- Experience with prevention of sickness absence, working environment or retention in the labor market is an advantage – including experience with advisory and authority-related tasks
Knowledge of the sickness benefit area and the employment effort in general is a clear advantage.
Thus the positions include both a company-facing and preventive function as well as a smaller share of authority tasks in the sickness benefit area. It is therefore important that you are motivated to work within the framework of the municipal employment effort and can see the value in supporting citizens’ attachment to the labor market.
We offer
You will be part of a new and ambitious initiative with a great opportunity to influence both content, methods and collaborations.
You will receive
- Opportunity to help build a new initiative from the ground up
- Great influence on the development of workflows and methods
- A daily life with a high degree of independence and responsibility
- Opportunity to apply your professional skills in close collaboration with citizens, workplaces and colleagues
- A strong professional community with a focus on sparring and development
Additionally we offer
- A workplace characterized by an informal tone
- An introductory program tailored to you
- Open-plan office with the possibility of quiet zones
- Lunch and fruit scheme
- Flexitime
