About RENTEQ Automotive

RENTEQ Automotive is a young Danish company with an ambition to reduce CO₂ emissions by electrifying vans and construction machines. We are based in Dragør and take care of the whole journey – from engineering and development all the way to production.

Your role

As our welder/metalworker you will translate drawings into the finished parts that go into our products. From our workshop in Dragør you will operate our 8+1-axis CNC press brake, laser cutter and welding equipment to produce the load-bearing frames and housings that form the backbone of our vehicle conversions.

This is not a production line – each project is different, and you must be able to think independently. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams, be able to contribute to problem solving early, and help us build smarter from one cycle to the next.

Your tasks

• Operate the 8+1-axis CNC press brake to produce precision bent frames and structural parts
• Set up and operate the laser cutter for sheet metal parts, fittings and cabinet panels
• Weld load-bearing frames, boxes and housings – MIG and TIG depending on material and specification
• Read and interpret technical drawings and translate them into finished parts
• Quality control of own work – measurement checks, weld quality and fit – before it goes to production
• Collaborate with the engineering team to identify design problems and provide practical feedback
• Keep the workshop organized, equipment maintained and processes documented
• Support prototype iterations – expect frequent design changes and several projects running at the same time.

Is this you we are looking for?

Do you have practical experience in welding/metalworking – it could be from a craft education, technical school or real workshop experience?

It would be advantageous if you can tick most of the following

• Experienced welder – MIG is required, TIG is a big plus
• Familiar with CNC bending machines; experience with multi-axis bending machines is ideal
• Experience with laser cutting – setup, nesting and safe operation
• Able to read and work from technical drawings and 3D models
• Eye for detail: you measure twice and are proud of precise, neat work
• Thrives in a team where no day is the same
• Proactive – you identify problems early rather than letting them become someone else’s problem
• Danish at a high level and functional English, as we are an international team.
