ABOUT STAUNING WHISKY A/S
Stauning Whisky is the result of an unusual experiment. Nine friends with very different backgrounds came together out of shared curiosity and decided to push the boundaries of whisky making.
Production started in 2009 and they have since won several prestigious awards.
Stauning Whisky has revived traditional crafts that disappeared with modern whisky production, and uses only locally grown grain, floor‑malted on site, and distilled in small copper pot stills over an open flame.
In 2018 Stauning Whisky moved into a newly built distillery. A building filled with innovative engineering and a dramatic expression that draws on decades of tradition in classic Danish design and architecture.
Stauning Whisky has also become a tourist destination in the western Jutland region, with many visitors each year.
Our values are Passion, Curious, Authenticity, Integrity and not least Financial responsibility.
