About the job

Nordskolen is seeking a Danish teacher for the lower primary and middle grades

One of our teachers needs to move to the countryside. Therefore we are looking for a skilled Danish teacher who is also skilled in building relationships and good at leading a class with clarity and care.

The road to work by car goes along the fjord with morning light, flocks of birds and mixed vegetation. If you come from the north, the school is only 10 minutes from Ølstykke Station. Jyllinge is the northernmost part of Roskilde Municipality. Bus 600S, which runs between Hillerød and Ishøj, stops right outside the door.

We are looking for a colleague for the Jyllinge department. Here we are usually cheerful and positive and love being with the children. If you feel the same and enjoy teaching – and are good at it – you are the teacher we would like to welcome into our community.

You must be passionate about teaching Danish , as this year’s timetable includes Danish in both 1st and 5th grade. The most important thing for you to fit in well with us is that you love being with children and have a resource-oriented view of them.

It would be perfect if you are a musical person who dreams of being part of our music teacher team. They have a special community where they practice together and enrich the others with accompaniment on various instruments and singing for joint meetings and events at the school.

There are also music lessons in the primary years in the timetable.

Empathetic classroom leader

For us it is important that you bring a strong ability to lead classes, and an appreciative and welcoming approach to the students. You are academically well-founded and curious about how you inspire students with engagement and joy in learning, so they experience great meaning in what the school brings into their lives and daily life.

You are skilled at forming relationships with everyone around you who supports you, and with those who depend on you bringing your professional, communicative and empathetic abilities into play in the collaboration.

Professional work community

At Nordskolen we focus on what works. You will have good colleagues who help you settle into the community and the tasks and support your start at the school. You will become part of both class and year teams, with close collaboration, and you will become part of a large staff where the sense of community is highly valued, and where we lift as one.

Nordskolen is a wonderful school with good well-being and high academic standards

Nordskolen is a four- to five-track school with group scheduling - about 900 pupils and 130 educational staff distributed across two campuses: the Jyllinge department and Baunehøj department. We are a school with good facilities and outdoor areas that invite play and movement.

Nordskolen

  • is a workplace with high ambitions and high professional standards
  • has management that is interested in your success
  • is a school that places a high value on involvement and shared responsibility
  • is full of happy children and wonderful colleagues
  • is a development-oriented school with a basis in the art of the possible
