About the job

Do you want to contribute to strengthening children's well-being through play and regulation? Then you can be our new pediatric occupational therapist!

You will be part of PPR's therapy team with three occupational therapists and two physiotherapists. We work outreach with children from 0 to 18 years in homes, day care and schools. You will have the freedom to plan your day and a strong team to brainstorm with.

With us you will have an independent and varied daily life in homes, day care and schools. You assess and evaluate the child's regulation and participation opportunities in the child’s immediate surroundings. You are curious to look behind the child’s behavior and you recognize that the relationship is central to the child’s development. The tasks also include examining the child’s sensory-motor, fine motor and oral motor development. We guide on sensory and emotional perspectives on feeding challenges in babies and children in close collaboration with the family.

A central part of the position is that we use play and play groups as part of our method to support the child’s regulation and participation in everyday meaningful activities. We also use play and play groups as a method to provide practice-oriented advice to our interdisciplinary partners.

You will work under the Health Act, the Daycare Act, the Children’s Act and the Danish School Act. It requires that you can switch between training, advising and consultative sparring. You make your occupational therapy knowledge applicable to parents, educators, teachers and interdisciplinary colleagues through consultative sparring. It requires that you can put your own professional knowledge into play in an interdisciplinary context. The everyday life contains many tasks, meetings and shifts.

Therefore you must be able to create structure, stay calm and find the next professional step, even when the framework changes.

We are looking for an authorized occupational therapist who is academically well-founded in the pediatric area and can connect theory and practice. With us you get high professional standards, humor, influence and weekly sparring in a team that actively uses each other’s professional and personal strengths. We are looking for you who want to clearly bring occupational therapy into play – through movement, play, relationship and close collaboration with the child’s adults.
