Skjernåskolen is seeking 1 pedagogue for 32 hours for the A-unit, 1 pedagogue for maternity leave in the primary section for 35 hours, and 1 pedagogue for 32 hours for the middle grades

Skjernåskolen is a special school in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality, which provides special education and other special pedagogical assistance to pupils with general learning difficulties, disabilities, autism and ADHD.

We expect our new employees to -

• contribute with professional knowledge into the professional learning community and can receive and engage in sparring about the students' learning and development as well as their own approach
• take responsibility for and design an SFO provision based on the students' prerequisites and interests
• see the students' next opportunity for learning and development and, in collaboration with colleagues, set goals for it
• establish a predictable and clear structure around the students with a focus on relationships - both inside and outside the classroom
• work with an appreciative and resource-oriented approach to the students and the team
• can de-escalate conflicts in relation to the students and be curious about what lies behind the students' actions
• pedagogue for the middle grades must have professional competencies and an interest in creating development and learning with a practical approach

The core task at Skjernåskolen is to ensure all our children and young people a learning and developing everyday life. The management team supports the professional staff and creates the best possible conditions for carrying out the core task, among other things through supervision, pit-stops and student conferences. We teach according to the students' prerequisites, with a focus on the students' learning and development through visible and measurable goals for the teaching.

We have clear norms for our work as a school, and we work from an appreciative approach to the children and their parents. We place social capital on the agenda in our organization to support a good working environment.

We are organized in units where we work interdisciplinary in professional learning communities. We have arranged our daily life with opportunities for both individual and joint preparation through planned meeting activity. We offer flexible working conditions, including the possibility to place part of one's working time at home by prior agreement.

In connection with the teaching part, an independent after-school program has been established, and in this context a club for upper-grade students. The school has joint leadership with the Special Children's Home and the Specially Arranged Youth Education/STU house in Tarm. The units work daily together on the children's development. There are about 130 children and young people aged 0-25 years and 100 employees in the whole organization.

Prior to final employment, Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality will obtain references. A child protection background check will be obtained for the person who is employed. Salary and terms of employment are negotiated on collective agreement terms.
