About the job

Registered Nurse for the Interdisciplinary Pain Center

Do you have the desire and courage to work with people living with chronic pain and complex issues – and a desire to learn much more about pains that do not disappear? If you also have a few years of experience as a nurse and broad cultural understanding and insight, you might be our new colleague.

We are an engaged interdisciplinary team consisting of a social worker, physiotherapists, psychologists, doctors, nurses, and secretaries. We work in a team-based manner and highly value interdisciplinarity, including daily interdisciplinary conferences and weekly team meetings.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • expects an affirming and respectful approach to our patients, relatives, and partners as a matter of course
  • can work independently while also being a good team player
  • has interest in – and preferably knowledge of or experience with – people with chronic pain and complex problems
  • is good at communicating and conveying information
  • is dedicated and cannot help but seek new knowledge and professional literature about pain – whether in Danish or English
  • is aware of own professional limitations and dares to challenge and develop them
  • takes shared responsibility for smooth planning of the workdays
  • understands working in a publicly regulated organization.

Your tasks

As a nurse you will conduct independent nursing consultations in person as well as by telephone and video. You will also participate in selected medical consultations and be part of the Pain Center’s psychoeducational group treatment.

In time, it is expected that you also contribute to teaching of various professional groups internally and externally.

As a nurse you will also share responsibility for the continued development of the pain field and contribute, among other things, to the qualification of patient materials, the preparation of guidelines, and the development of clinical practice.

We offer

  • an individual introduction and training program tailored to your experience, knowledge, and current competencies
  • a varied workday with a high degree of independence
  • dedicated colleagues who are passionate about the pain field and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • complex patient pathways where you will have the opportunity to bring many facets of your nursing professionalism into play
  • influence on nursing and the ongoing development of practice in the Pain Center.

We do not expect you to know everything about chronic pain from day one.

You are very welcome to drop by for an informal tour and hear more about us and the work at the Pain Center before you send your application.
