About the job
NIGHT SHIFT
At the upcoming health and care placements in Odense
Do you want to be part of a strong professional community, where you make a noticeable difference for people in vulnerable life situations every day?
We are looking for a social and health care assistant who is passionate about close citizen contact and about helping to develop the health services of the future.
A workplace in development
We are today the City of Odense’s provision of temporary placements for citizens with complex health and rehabilitation journeys. Our task is to create the best possible framework for the citizens’ continued progress through professional assessments, rehabilitation and close interprofessional collaboration.
Now we face a meaningful change, where the municipal placements transfer to regional health and care placements. This means that you will have the opportunity to be involved from the very beginning as new collaborations, workflows and professional solutions are developed.
With us you won’t just get a job. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of health care.
What will you be part of?
With us we believe that quality is created in collaboration.
You will become part of a workplace where nurses, social- and health care assistants, therapists and management work closely together to create the best solutions for citizens.
We value
- High professionalism
- Interdisciplinary collaboration
- Rehabilitative approach
- Professional development
- Influence and involvement
- A humorous and helpful daily work environment
The night shift with us
As a night shift you become a central part of the health care response at night. You must be able to maintain an overview in complex situations, work independently and at the same time collaborate closely with colleagues across shifts and professional groups. You help create security for citizens and ensure continuity of their care throughout the night.
Your tasks
Your tasks will include, among others, to
- Observe, assess and respond to changes in citizens’ health status
- Perform and coordinate health care interventions in complex citizen pathways
- Contribute to assessment, clarification and rehabilitation
- Create security for citizens and relatives
- Administer medicines and document in Nexus
- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, hospitals and other partners
- Active contribution to professional development and quality work
- Support a rehabilitative and dignified citizen journey
We are looking for you if you
- Are educated as a social- and health care assistant
- Have strong observation and assessment skills
- Thrive in complex and changing processes
- Can work independently and take professional responsibility
- See opportunities rather than limitations
- Have good collaboration skills and contribute positively to the community
- Are curious about development and new solutions
- Want to be part of an organization in motion
Experience from rehabilitation, temporary placements, somatic or psychiatry is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Salary and terms of employment
You will be employed in a position with primarily night shift duties.
Until January 1, 2027 we will work exclusively in night shifts on a 7/7 schedule in odd weeks. After the transition to the Region of Southern Denmark, the position is expected to remain primarily night shift. However, final shift planning will be determined in the new organization.
The position is remunerated according to the applicable collective agreement. The expected salary level will be communicated before any interview and depends on experience and qualifications.
