Social and Health Care Assistant for Night Shift at Benediktehjemmet

We are seeking a social- and health care assistant for a permanent night shift, who thrives with responsibility, professional assessments and close contact to residents. With us you become part of a house where we help each other, share knowledge and lift tasks in unison with respect for both residents and colleagues.

About the night shift position

As a social- and health care assistant in night shift you work together with a social- and health care helper, where you together cover the house. You help residents with what they need during the night, and cooperate to make the shift function well.

You perform the social- and health care assistant professional tasks and use your professional skills when a resident's condition changes, or when there is a need for a health professional assessment. You also have responsibility for medicine, documentation and ensuring that relevant observations and professional assessments are documented and available for the subsequent shifts.

At Benediktehjemmet we also have the protected unit Asmundshøj, which has its own night shift. If there is a need for a nursing-professional assessment or task at Asmundshøj, you contribute with your professional knowledge and help assess the situation.

The position is in a 7/7 rotation in even weeks.

Your tasks will include

• Carry out nursing and care tasks in accordance with the Health Act and Fredensborg Municipality's action catalog.
• Observe, assess and respond to changes in residents' physical and mental condition.
• Administer medicines according to current guidelines.
• Document care and professional assessments in Nexus.
• Update daily rhythm plans.
• Support residents' resources, autonomy and the opportunity to live a good everyday life.
• Create safety, structure and presence for residents through the night.
• Contribute to good collaboration with colleagues and cross-disciplinary partners.

Benediktehjemmet is located centrally in Fredensborg with good transport and parking facilities.

We have 56 housing units spread across the main building and our protected unit Asmundshøj.

• Is trained as a social- and health care assistant with a valid authorization.
• Has professional overview and can work independently and responsibly.
• Can observe, assess and act on changes in residents' condition.

• Works in a structured way and documents professionally.
• Has experience with or interest in dementia care and complex care pathways.
